So well said. I have since childhood wondered how to make a difference and I always said ek din…but that day never came…I felt how can i do something good when i am making my ends meet?…
But i did meet few people who are really making lot of difference to the society. There are lot of things a person can do with his time or money for betterment of society.
I have met people who volunteer in ngo . They invest their one hour a week to educate orphans, poor people.
I was happy seeing young college going people in orphanage playing with orphans , people in old age bringing smiles to old people abandoned by their own families…
One doesn’t need to be millionaire to make a difference , we all can do little bit in whatever way we think to make a difference. Yes we can.
But I am a very busy man , I don’t have time or so much extra money in time of recession. If this is your problem , then there is perfect solution for this. There are many good ngo who provide you with various options to choose from depending on your economic conditions. One can sponsor a child’s studies , one can sponsor medicine or one can arrange for training for widowers..
One of good websites is http://www.giveindia.org/ . Here it provides various options for people like us who are busy , dont have time but intend to do something for society in whatever capacity we have.
Yes we can make a difference…
