Wife to ek post hai bhai

India is ancient civilization and human beings exist in India since thousands of years. Being such old civilization we have lot of things which are in collective consciousness of the people. Out of many such things , one thing is marriage. We consider marriage as sacred . Most of us believe that jodi aasmaan mein banti hai and most of us believe wife as not only life partner but saath janamo ka rishta thing.

But with time things change and since its globalization era , we have come in touch with various cultures and so perceptions also change along with that. There is nothing wrong in it as change in always nature of life..

Coming back to topic . I know a set of people who belong to age group of 24-28 , who are either married or engaged.This group is unique. Unique in sense that they all belong to same territory of rajasthan , are in same buisness line . What makes them more unique or wierd you may call is that though being married they dont take their wives out . Whether for movies or outing or anything they always go out without their wives or fiancees .

What’s more ironical is that some of them have girl friends!!!!!!!!!.. I had discussion with one of them which is as follows :

Me – bhai ek baat puchun..tum log aapas mein hi ghumte raahete ho..kabhi kabhi apni biwiyon ko bhi to le jaaya karo

Raj (name changed ) – Le to jaata houn . diwali ke waqt aur holi ke waqt

Me- khud to har ravi vaar jaate ho aur biwi ko sirf do baar

Raj- dekho bhai humhaare vahan biwiyon ko jaida sar pe chadaane ka rivaas nahi hai. biwi ka kaam hai humhaar dhyaan rakhe , maaji aur pitaji ka dhyaan rakhe , bacho ka khayal rakhe. Humhaara kaam hai kama ke lana.

Me- hmmm…matlab biwi ek post hai aur pati ek post hai. jaise job mein hota hai.. post define hoti hai , uske hisaab se duties aur responsibilities aur ussi hisaab se rewards…right?

Raj- woh sab mujhe nahi maalum..humhaare vahan aisa hi hota hai..agar tum isko post samajte ho to post hi saahi..

Me- hmmm…

Then discussion got diverted. It’s sad that for some people wife is mere a post with set of roles , responsibilities , rewards.
