Aruna Shanbaug Case Reignites Debate about mercy killing
Supreme court of India today announced an important verdict. The verdict which was particular for Aruna Shanbaug case but on larger perceptive it was on emotional debate of mercy killing. Supreme court rejected mercy killing plea filed by pinik virani on behalf of aruna shanbaug but allowed “passive euthanasia” of withdrawing life support to patients in permanently vegetative state (PVS). Though it reject outright active euthanasia. Mercy killing or euthanasia is an issue which divides opinions. Majority dont buy the argument of right to die . The opposers of euthanasia have very simple argument. How can any one have right to take away other’s life?. Few years back parliament had important discussion. Discussion on how judiciary in interfering in governance and who is supereme ?. Parliament or Judiciary?. One is elected by people of India while another is independent body. One’s role is to make laws while other’s role is to implement those laws and see to it that laws made are not in contradiction with fundamental rights placed in constitution. No Food To Eat?..Well Dont Worry Government Would Give Mobile Phones!!!!!!!!!!!
Title doesnot make sense . Isn’t it?. Whether you are in India or china or Pakistan or united states of America or Somalia or Sudan. Title does not fit the logic. What has mobile phones to do with food?. How can mobile phone serve the person who does not have food to eat?. Can mobile be eaten?. Can a person with no money to buy food get mobile recharged or pay the bill?. Can a call of 30-50 paisa serve him/her any purpose?. Whom would he/she call?. Ambulance to take them to government hospital because of starving?. Dear Dr Manmohan Singhji, Dear prime minister first of all I would like to congratulate of your thinking of reducing the average age of cabinet . It is decision in right path and must be appreciated. Now coming to your comment on supreme court decision which too looks logical about how can free food grains be distributed to 37% of Indians which are estimated to live below poverty line?. That is quiet a valid point. Sharad pawar is busy man these days. It is understandable since he has big big job to perform.
