I got alert from leading news channel on my g talk. It read justice to ruchika -Rathore’s jail term extended t0 18 months.

My immediate reaction was ‘Is it justice?’. How do we decide that 18 months jail is justice for ruchika against 6 months term which was pronounced earlier?

Molesting a kid of 15 year old and jail term of 18 months?. That too after year and years of wait?. Well but this is what we have as law and judge can pronounce verdict only as per the law and can’t do much about it.

Ruchika’s family would keep on fighting and case against rathore for making ruchika commit suicide , for runing life of her brother and her father is still pending. Rathore would have to face the heat in those cases.

Ruchika case made headline when rathore was giving term of mere six months by lower court. Six months for molesting a kid!!!!!!!!!. The news media was shocked and it took the news to drawing room of ordinary Indians and the news outraged most Indians. Matter became public debate and soon smiling rathore had learnt power of media and ordinary citizens. Even law minister had to take notice.

Today as verdict is out , law makers , law imposers and whose who of system must introspect that how they wants things to be?. Do they need media taking up cases and making Indian citizens partner is quest for justice or do they want police to do their work honestly at first place?

How many jessicas , katarias and ruchikas do we need before law is made to work?. Indians may be obessed with dhoni’s cool attitude , with yuvraj’s off field games and with katrina-salman but they are still there to display their anger when ever needed.

I hope that ruchika’s case turns out to be eye opener for people who run the system.

India is facing a new challenge. Student Suicides. The figures are rising and students are comitting suicide even when a semester exams go bad. Last week a young girl studying in second year of b com ended her life because she did bad in her economics paper . She didn’t even wait for her results and hanged her , ending her life.

Maharashtra and uttar pradesh have seen sudden rise in number of students committing suicides. While celebrities have come ahead to speak on this issue , it is not helping those much who are in depression , cannot take stress and are ready to kill themselves , ending most beautiful thing called life which has millions of possibilities.

Here , today we are sharing with you a true story of a man who failed in 12th science board exam. Failing in 12th has major fall out. We are talking about 20 years ago where failing in 12th was end of career in itself. Society would see a 12th failure as someone to pity for , parents would spend sleepless night worrying about their offspring’s future.

Ritesh also failed his 12th science exam. Ritesh’s father was leading architect in gujarat . Ritesh’s father believe that those in science stream are only people who are worth something while rest waste their life. While ritesh was least interested in science and maths. He was more interested in drawing , arts which his father rated as useless. His father pressurized him to take science which ritesh did without any interest. Tuition’s , class , good school , nothing helped ritesh who wanted to do something in arts stream. Inevitable happened when results came. He failed and his father passed the verdict that ritesh would be failure in larger test called life.

Ritesh went into depression and failed again . Now his father had lost all hopes about ritesh and he concentrated all his aspirations on ritesh’s younger brother. Hopeless , lifeless and depressed ritesh , manytimes thought of ending his life. He was feeling worthless and society was coming up with career options for him like working in small jobs.

Ritesh decided to change his stream and took arts stream. He finally cleared his 12th and then cleared entrance exam and got into leading college for fine arts.

Ritesh did found field of his interest and started excel. He got job of trainee in good advertisement firm and slowly started rising the ladder. Now ritesh is creative head of one of best ad firms in India and draws salary in six figures.

Ritesh was not dumb as his father rated him to be, neither he was a man with lower intelligence. Only problem with ritesh was that he was into something which didn’t appeal him. When he got into something that appeal his soul he excelled.

Failing in one exam is not end of life , neither it is certificate of how good or how bad one would perform in life. Life is precious and one can do wonders with it. All students reading this post do remember ritesh and his story. You never know what you can become. Honor your life and have faith in nature’s law. You are special and there is atleast one thing which you are good at , fiind it and pursue it , rest shall follow.

Freedom has no meaning if ordinary citizen donot get faith on law. That feel that if something goes wrong with me , I would be given justice is important to feel pride , ownership in any system , state and nation.

Ruchika molestation case is perfect example about how a family can be left helpless and even ruined by powerful people. A girl molested and then harassed for 3 long years forcing her to die. A father forced to sell his house and left roof less. A brother who is framed in number of charges and his life spoiled. The mother’s condition can be understood. 4 lives are spoiled , have to undergo immense turnmoil , one commits suicide while other three are still suffering. The man behind all these get 6 months and 1000 Rs fine. Isnt it insult to ordinary lives?

It not just ruchika , It not just jessica lal or nitish katara. There three were ordinary citizens and assaulters were powerful people. Its their way of saying , we will kill you , ruin you because we own this country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It takes helpless family whose cries are shown of television by media which creates outrage in people and then only justice is delivered?. Is this what type of system we want to establish?. Unless average citizen gets confidence in system and gets life of dignity he/she deserves in democracy , we are not free. Only faces of governance have changed.

May ruchika’s soul rest in peace and may justice finally be delivered to her.

Its result time all across the country. State boards , CBSEs and all other boards announced results of 10th , 12th few days back. While it brought good news to many , it proved nightmare for many and fatal for some.

Four girls of jaipur attempted suicide in jaipur by consuming sulphate , while three died , one is critical. These four girls failed to clear 10th.

When results comes the aspirant is either hailed or slammed but what about parents , schools ?. When a person is in 10th or 12th it is not just his/her test but test of both parents and school too.

When their offsprings fail to get results as per expectation the parents harshly react to the situation. Its understandable , worry about child’s future in this competitive world makes them react in the way that they do.

When offspring does not live upto expectations , its natural for parents to get dejected. Its natural for parents specially father to recollect how he worked hard , how he struggled and all. Its natural.

But we need to understand that offspring in still a kid of barely 16th or 18th. He/she is not mature enough to understand things . One cannot motivate by threat or good job funda. One needs to be more considerate towards offspring . Padh Padh wont help , neither would only tutions. Parents need to spend time with their offsprings , understand them , motivate them , sooth their fears . This all is required before exams .

Even schools need to be considerate. Mere teaching and dubbing some one as failure wont help that student. We all have come across some discouraging teachers who use to say more negative about our abilities than positive ones. Isn’t it?

Now coming to main point. What if your offspring has failed ?. Well understand that your offspring needs your support at this time and not your scoldings. Yes you need to make it clear that what they have got is not right but at same time be considerate and convey that one exam failure in not end of world. They can overcome this again and even excel too. Parents are most influencial people who can make or break kids…

I would like to share example of one of my very good friends. He got mere 54 in 12th science. He took BSC , learnt computer sincerely , went for I.T. job. Right now he is in usa with a I.T. company. Now imagine if his dad would have scolded him to the extent that it is end of his world. Where would my friend would have been?…

His dad behave very maturely , conveyed him that its ok but now he needs to gear up and work hard . He has it in him and one day he would make his family proud.

That triggered new zeal in him to work hard. One success after another saw him reach , where he is today..

If offspring commits suicide , it is definately failure of parents , family . There was no communicative enivornment that offspring could even share their feelings??. Why?.

We need to introspect on where we went wrong. If our children failed in board exam , did we fail the bigger exam of life?
