Killing For So Called Honor

Another honor killing has occured. This time it has been in punjab where a 25 year old girl was killed by her own family with swords. Her crime?. She married with a man against wishes of her family. She seems to be trapped by her family who might have wooed her to come to their house along with her husband and her mother in law. While lady got killed by sword , her mother in law too was killed while her husband sustained injury from bullet fired at him. The cases of honor killing are on rise in India . Why Do Indian Woman Prefer Strangers For Marriage?

Image via Wikipedia I got curious about this typical psychological trait that has been seen in woman. This led me to interview few woman who belonged to open minded family but still went to marry stranger when they had option of marrying some one they knew. Number one reason they cited was that since childhood they believe in sapno ka rajkumar concept. That one day some one would come , exclusively for them.
