Bollywood is biggest film industry in the world and one of two passion which we Indians have in general. Songs, dance , movie , hero , heroines..The business of selling dreams as claimed by many people of film industry.

Politics on other hand seems to be serious thing. Politics seems to be dead serious thing which works for governance , people , poor,rich,dalit,brahmin,minority,majority but with background of gaining power.

Both seems pole apart but have many similarities which are as under :

1) Family Business :

Bollywood largely is family based business . We have roshans,kapoors,johars,chopras ruling to roost and from salman , aamir to hrithik, kareena to ranbir , imran , all have had family background in bollywood which fecilitated their entry in bollywood.

Politics too is family business these days..It started with congress where Indira inherited politics , then brought sanjay , then rajiv , now we have sonia who brought rahul while priyanka too would enter sooner or later.In congress we also have scindhiyas, pilots. This successful model prompted other parties like dmk,shiv sena, RJD , Samajwadi Party,NCP to follow congress .

But unlike politics , in bollywood one can enter the industry but success depends on talent. We have had many sons and daughters of directors,producers,actors,actresses who failed to impress audience. In Politics talent doesnot matter , what matters is vote bank of family…

2) Selling Dreams :

Bollywood is business of “selling dreams”. Sole purpose of bollywood is taking away all the problems,issues,tensions from lives of aam aadmi and give him three hours of break where he can dream,he can enjoy,he can forget everything .

Politics is not much different than bollywood in this aspect, specially in relation to aam aadmi. If we read at party manifestos of various parties , it is ‘selling dreams’ business.

3) Unpredictable :

Ask any experienced actor,director or producer about why particular movie gets hit or flop and they wont be able to answer or pin point to particular reason. In same lines ask vajpayee why NDA lost in 2004 or ask UPA that inspite of 2008,inspite of ‘cash for vote scam’ why they won and they too wont be able to answer.

UPA-2 is most corrupted government ever in independent India but would they loose in 2014?. Well none can say so. Politics and bollywood are both unpredictable things, both depend on people and mood of people changes more than sensex!!!!!!!!

4) Similar Structures :

To make a bollywood movie , one needs finance,story, producer,director,actor and lots of support staff which are called spot boy , production man , light man etc. The cream of all the efforts is taken away by face of movie which is actor,actress as well as director/producer while support staff hardly gets anything.

To make political party one needs finance , manifesto, face (leader) and lot of workers (cadres). If we look at parliament , cream is taken by face of party while workers remain where they were always!!!!!!

Both bang of people support to meet their purpose but faces become stars while people remain where they are!!!!!!!!

The above are few of similarities between bollywood and politics…But unlike politics , bollywood mostly entertain and fullfills its promise in return of money, for politics we cannot say the same thing!!!!!!!

Faisal shahzad , the pakistani born , usa citizen who tried to blow bomb at new york times square pleaded guilty.

He described himself as muslim soldier while his attempt as part of answer to usa. Calling it war he didn’t regret trying to target citizen. According to him citizen of usa are not different since they elect governments.

He described his failed attempt as revenge of usa’s occupation on Muslim lands , drone attack on Somalia , pakistan and military operations in afghanistan and Iraq.

He also warned usa that till it continues with its occupation , operations and attacks , more attacks of usa might occur.

Now this so called muslim soldier failed to see that time square is busy street and muslims too might had got killed in bomb would have triggered.

What this so called muslim soldier also failed to see that drone attacks in pakistan are aimed at people who kill fellow muslims like they killed so many in pakistan , itself.

What this so called muslim soldier failed to see is sadam too killed muslims like he claims usa did by invading Iraq.

What this so called muslim soldier also failed to see is so many muslims who live in europe and usa in search of better life in terms of money and quality.

The most important thing which faizal failed to see is global politics and myth that muslims are one nation. Because if that would have been the case , we wont have had so many different countries in arab world , we wont have seen iran-iraq war , we wont have seen iraq invadin kuwait and we wont have seen so many blood sheds for power in history of muslim world.

This post is not about defending usa . What usa is doing is what it thinks its best to serve its interest while what it uses a means for serving its interest are not kids as far as government heads or countries are concerned. They work as per what they think is best for them.

Did usa force pakistan to become launching pad for jihadis fighting against ussr. Pervez now mentions that problems which pakistan faces today are side effects of ussr war.

Did usa force karzai to become president or for that matter iraqi politicians?. They could have refused if they wanted but they thought it to be best for themselves and their country to be part of the plan.

It is high time for people of various faith to realize that religion and politics are two different things. Latter has used former to gain access to power but later is not former.

No faith in the world has stopped people from using other people , murdering others , slaughtering others , no matter what religion preaches.

If people like faizal really want to do good for their community and really curb usa’s interference , the works starts at home. Make sure that people are served , nurtured and made effectiv force which prosper economically , scientifically . Once that is done , rest would fall in place.

Terrorism wont help and it would give bad name to community and innocent , peaceful people would suffer.

Gujarat government has come up with wonderful idea which will be implemented in coming civic elections. Along with state election authorities , it has come up with idea of allowing people to vote using internet for  civic elections.

The idea of state government and state election authorities is to encourage affluent classes and middle class people to cast their vote.

It is tragedy of India that those who are well educated , well read hardly vote . Argument being all politicians are same , who would vote in some much heat , what difference does it makes . Excuses which neither help them nor the country.

Ironically these class of people dont vote but want government to become accountable!!!!!. Now if you dont do you bit , you dont have right to say. It is as simple as that.

Coming back to online voting , congress is not too happy about it. Their reaction has not been that of opposing but sense of worry. According to congress this would help BJP since the class it would reach to are vote banks of BJP.

Now this doesnot make sense at first place. It is like not making things easy for poors as far as voting goes , since traditionally they vote for congress!!!!!!!!

Rich , poor , hindu , muslims are citizens of India and access to voting must be made in such a way that more and more people come out to vote.

Just a day after pakistan taliban claimed responsibility of foiled attack on USA at times square , Newyork , American authorities have arrested a pakistani born , usa citizen, Faisal Shahzad.

He was trying to escape usa and was arrested from JFK Airport in newyork. He was about to board flight from newyork to dubai.

This is what has been made public about the suspect :

Name : Faisal Shahzad

Age : 30

Birth Country : Pakistan

Citizenship : USA

Lives In : Connecticut

He is said to have visited pakistan recently and stayed there for five months in peshawar , the city which has seen lot of bomb attacks in one year by taliban which shows that taliban has got strong network in the city.

Faisal is said to have purchased the car one week back in which bomb was kept. He had paid $1300 for the car.

It is understandable that faisal wont be alone to execute the plan which might have been 2nd worst attack in usa , if he would have succeeded.

How did he manage to get explosives , who supplied it are some of important points which needs to be addressed.

Zaid Hamid , the self proclaimed defense analyst is in trouble. FIR filed in case of murder of Mufti Saeed Ahmed Jalalpuri has zaid hamid’s name in it.

FIR had been registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempt to murder), 109 (punishment of abetment if the act abetted committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment) and 34 (common intention) against Zaid Hamid (Zaid Zaman Hamid) on the complaint of Mufti Jalapuri’s close aide Hafiz Shabbir.

Who Is Zaid Hamid ?

When I first heard him speak , I thought he was someone like cyrus brocha or shekar suman with his own show. Someone who could keep straight face and joke.

But later I was told that he was not joking but was serious about what he was talking!!!!!! . Now he called 26/11 to have been done by India itself. He cited laal dhagha on kasab’s wrist to support his claims.

He called pakistan a super power and nexus of raw-mossad-cia against super power pakistan to get nuclear weapon. He turned astrologer and said that pakistan army would take over delhi!!!!!!!

Now listening all these on youtube video which had some channel banner , no one can blame me if i misunderstood zaid hamid to be in likes of cyrus and shekhar suman.

Later I visited his website and wondered whether by mistake I entered official website of President of Pakistan or what?. He talked like president addressing pakistanis all across the globe.

Slowly Hamid became distant memory for me with cultural critics of pakistan making him a laughing stock .

Now hamid is back in news and this time he is not in news which his some new theory stating that now afghanisthan’s spy agency has tied up with raw ,mossad and cia. He is in news for murder!!!!!!!!

Let us see how inquiry works out. I wont be surprised if hamid accuses Hafiz Shabbir of being raw agent.

We have all heard about medicines ke side effects , shaadi ke side effects and pyaar ke side effects but what we have seen in last 10-12 days is twitter ke side effects.

Few months back a person was arrested in europe who had tweeted his frustration of not being able to go home because one airport could not function due to cold weather. He tweeted that he would blow off airport and this tweet landed him in jail. That was twitter ke side effects.

Our ex minister of state for foreign ministry landed himself in trouble three-four times for his tweets. First he called economy class as cattle class , then he expressed his views that there should be no holiday on gandhi jayanti and people should work more on that day (he was right but politically incorrect as per his party ), lastly he tweeted about visa policy. His twitter ke side effect saw him visit sonia gandhi , time and again to give explaination.

But what proved fatal for him as far as his being minister is concerned was not side effects from his tweets but that of lalti modi’s.

Lalit modi tweeted and ‘kyunki ek tweet ,insaan ko resign karva deta hai aur pure hindustan mein i.t. , ed ki raid padva deta hai’ became the theme.

Now his tweet can cause him his job as IPL chief!!!!!!!. Tweet karo magar dhyaan se might be new slogan for rich, powerful of India.

IPL 2010 started with controvery of snubbing pakistani players during the auction. Pakistani Media , Indian Media , People from both sides of border had variety of opinions on it.

Soon srk joined the debate and it led to political angle with shiv sena against srk who got support from liberals, general Indians and congress.

Once that got over and IPL started all seemed well till kochi thing happen. Tharoor was forced to resign and media is reporting that lalit modi would also be asked to step down.

Amidst all the controversy one thing has stood tall in this IPL and it is cricket. Unlike first two seasons this IPL was highly competitive one with exception of mumbai which did extremely well and punjab which performed its worst cricket.

Some of matches were simply outstanding with yusuf almost single handely trying to chase down huge total , banglore powered by kallis and pandey successfully chashing 200+ , decaan landing itself in position of winning every single game to enter semis and successfully doing that , dhoni ensuring chennai remain in top 4 for , 3rd consecutive time and kolkatta producing some gem from their hat.

This IPL saw veterans like kallis , tendulkar , ganguly showing their class . Dada fielded like never befor , diving and catching blinders. Tendulkar showed why he is king of cricket while ojha, mishra did ask some tought question to srikanth and company about why were they not selected for t-20 world cup.

Till last two league matches it was not clear as to which teams would play in semis except mumbai and to some extent banglore which was good for tournament.

IPL unfortunately would keep on being in news for lalit modi , IT raids till dust settles down but as far as cricket goes , this seasons was one of best displays of cricket.

Religious forums are generally last place to visit because many times two people who have faith in respective religions try to ridicule each other and put each other’s faith down.

Yesterday while browsing a networking site I came across a religious forum and my curoisity took over and I decided to read some of posts of that forum.

It was argument going on between two groups belong to two different faiths. Ironically both agreed that of following :

1) There is God who is all powerful

2) God created universe and every species on earth

3) All humans are his creation and He loves all

4) There is a judgement day

Now when all agreed where was the difference . Well difference was for who is right person who brought the religion and whose way is right.

Now both claimed that their way is only way andif one doesnot belief in their way or their figure head , they are going to be cursed into hell.

Had long learnt that one must never discuss religion and politics because generally people tend to become too emotional and close minded in adhering what they think is truth .So remained mute spectator.

It is ironcial that when larger part of people in the world believe in judgement day , why do they themselves turn god and pass judgement. Let god decide what is right or wrong .

But for some god becomes licensed to ridicule , bring people down and even use terrorism as means to silence others!!!!!!!!!

‘All in name of god’ . So what If the people who get killed are humans , so what is blood spilled in same ,all over , if he/she doesnot belong to my faith , he deserves to die. This is philosophy of some who also claim that god is all powerful and forgives , loves everyone!!!!!!!!

Natural disaster , Pakistan Inspired Terrorism and now Naxals , these seems to be ironically unifier for two big political parties of India.

Sincere P.C. said that buck stops here and offered to resign from his post of home ministership. Prime minister rejected it and so did madam. What came as surprise though was BJP backing chidambaram.

P.C. is best man that upa has got to be home minister and BJP too supported him . So naxals have achieved impossible . They got main opposition party support the minister!!!!!!!

Well now in act of reciprocation chhattisgarh congress would stop taking dig at chief minister of chhattisgarh.

Naxal problem is complex issue which deal with many collective issues. It involves political ideology which is against democracy , tribals who fear being run over , corporate who have lot of money invested , corruption which is chief cause of the problem , regional politicians who often need naxal to beat opposition and center government.

It is not ISI backed terror and so onus is not just on home minister of India. Eradicating naxals needs working at many levels  like security , corporate policies , nailing corruptions and it does need collective efforts.

BJP must be hailed for their stand of chidambaram , we need him and in upa ,he is perhaps best person for the job.

Naxal striked again today killing 72 crpf personnels. According to home minister of India , Mr P .C.Chidambaram , joint forces entered trap of naxals and 300 naxalites attacked them , killing 73 security personnel , 72 belonged to crpf while 1 was Chhattisgarh state police officer.

Naxals are biggest internal security threat to India as per our primeminister Dr manmohan singh and home minister p.c.chidambaram.

Naxals in their document enlist vision:2050 . They plan to take over entire India by 2050-2060. Their goal is to seek power of India and over throw democracy in India. They want to establish goverance system like that in china. The first thing which naxals are expected to do,once they come in power is banning all political parties in India and abolishing right of Indian citizen’s to vote.

Naxals are gaining in strength and are working as per their vision-2050. Some so called intellectuals who supports naxals donot understand nature of the beast. These same intellectuals who cry for freedom of speech , freedom for expression might end up being in jail or being executed , if naxals take over.

Naxals are on expansion mode . They have three step process to achieve their goals. First being entering the state/district/village . After entering , they try to induce their ideology on people they believed can be converted. Once that happens their first step is finished.

Second step is training the team for violent offensive and third step is militralization of the team. In places like jharkhand , they have entered the third stage where as in some states , they are still in first stage.

Problem with government is corruption , lack of development and lack of concensus between various politcial parties ,state governments.

Naxals are committed force which are working as per their vision :2050 while politicians are failing to see beyond their own political interest.

Ironically naxals call their rebelious act as people movement and want to abolish democracy in the country!!!!!!!!!
