Congress (Indian National Congress) : The Fall Of Great Party!!!
Indian National Congress is 126 year old party making it oldest party in the country. Founded in 1885 , it served as forum for Indians from all walks of life,different regions , different caste , different faiths to get together . Initially demand was more share in government (british India) for educated native Indians. The party had people like Bal Gangadhar Tilak; Bipin Chandra Pal; Lala Lajpat Rai; Gopal Krishna Gokhale; and Mohammed Ali Jinnah in it. I was browsing through internet when I came across and article on pakistan written by an pakistani. The long article covered Pakistan’s culture , demography, its philosophy , its fashion , food , major festivals and challenges it faces as an nation. The article was well written and articulated nicely. The writer nicely met the challenge of narrating what he felt proud about his country , what he felt depressed about in very nice manner. As I was reading the article , I cam across few lines on India which were not what any Indian would like to read about. Banning The Book : Is it right way?
Image via Wikipedia Shivaji book is making headlines these days. Book which was banned by state government and ban which was uplifted by supreme court has made Maharashtra government see red in the verdict. It is not ordinary book , it has name of one of most cherished icon of India and maharahstra , shivaji himself. The book which has title Shivaji: Hindu King in Islamic India . Now I haven’t read the book and so cannot comment of the book but surely can convey my opinion on the concept of banning. Censored : Politicians Decide What We See?
India is land of billion people where once you are 18 year old , you get the right to decide who would govern the country. But guess what ?. you dont have right to decide what you should read , view and form opinions!!!!!!!!!!!! The latest saga is on sonia gandhi. First it was rajneeti which came under scanner. Congress previewed Prakash Jha’s film, Rajneeti, and objected to some parts of the film. Now it is fictional biography on sonai gandhi title ‘Red Saree’ , congress has fumed on this book and threatened to sue the author and publishing house.
