UP has population of 20 crores!!!!!!!!. If it had been country it would have been fifth largest populated country after china , India, USA, Indonesia!!!!!!!

Upcoming uttar pradesh election is extremely important elections not just for uttarpradesh which is largest populated state in India but also for three leaders and their future.

These three leaders are RAHUL GANDHI , AKHILESH YADAV AND BEHN MAYAWATI.

1) Rahul Gandhi :

His only credentials in politics till date has been that his surname is GANDHI. The surname which was hijacked by nehru family are now first family of Indian Politics. But Nehru clan didnt just hijack surname , they hijacked Congress too. The party which was ones party of every one is not reduced to be party of first family.

To be fair to nehru clan , they have had their share in making of what India is today. Be it be nehru or Indira or Rajiv, they did do lot for the country but at same time they reduced great party into ‘yes madam/sir’ party where top most post is reserved for either nehru clan or chosen one by nehru clan!!!!!!!

The yuvraj of congress Rahul Gandhi has been honest to people and himself. He knows that it is because of his surname and other surnames like schindiyas or pilots or pawars or latest tandon or singh is credential to enter politics!!!!!!!!

Rahul has been working to get actual aam aadmis in the party but his true test would come in uttar pradesh. Many believe Rahul Baba would be elevated to prime ministership in 2014 , if upa wins election.

The passport to prime ministership would come from uttar pradesh. Congress is already at rock bottom in up and even if congress does reasonably better than last election , congress would be quick to hail rahul gandhi.

But if congress looses elections miserably then congress would call it collective responsibility and still manage to promote Rahul Gandhi.

Then why is this election important for Rahul?. He got to prove himself to himself and also to people of thinking India and his credentials other than merely being born in privilege family would come from Uttar Pradesh.

2) Akhilesh Yadav :

Why should congress have all the fun?. Most political parties including BJP of up are getting their sons/daughters into politics . They have example of congress which has been hugely successful in that.

If Congress project Rahul as yuvraj of India , SP is projecting akhilesh as yuvraj of up. Akhilesh is main campaigner of Samajwadi party. Though Akhilesh maintains that his father would be chief minister , the baton of leadership would pass on to akhilesh in coming year and performance of sp in up is important for akhilesh to cement his position and emerge as generation next leader of sp.

3) Mayawati :

So what is she is crorepati?. So what that there are cases against her?. So what that no one does question her asset of 89 crore officialy while she has been full time politician since 20 plus years, mayawati remains popular leader of up.

She would be fighting against tide and if she wins this election , her next step would be 2014 general election where she would like to play important role. Her google ad campaign in 2009 elections showed her ambition of becoming prime minister.

But if she loose elections , her path ahead seems rocky.

For BJP it seems fight of two yuvraj and dalit ki beti would create situation of their advantage. So let see how up elections unfold…

Bollywood is biggest film industry in the world and one of two passion which we Indians have in general. Songs, dance , movie , hero , heroines..The business of selling dreams as claimed by many people of film industry.

Politics on other hand seems to be serious thing. Politics seems to be dead serious thing which works for governance , people , poor,rich,dalit,brahmin,minority,majority but with background of gaining power.

Both seems pole apart but have many similarities which are as under :

1) Family Business :

Bollywood largely is family based business . We have roshans,kapoors,johars,chopras ruling to roost and from salman , aamir to hrithik, kareena to ranbir , imran , all have had family background in bollywood which fecilitated their entry in bollywood.

Politics too is family business these days..It started with congress where Indira inherited politics , then brought sanjay , then rajiv , now we have sonia who brought rahul while priyanka too would enter sooner or later.In congress we also have scindhiyas, pilots. This successful model prompted other parties like dmk,shiv sena, RJD , Samajwadi Party,NCP to follow congress .

But unlike politics , in bollywood one can enter the industry but success depends on talent. We have had many sons and daughters of directors,producers,actors,actresses who failed to impress audience. In Politics talent doesnot matter , what matters is vote bank of family…

2) Selling Dreams :

Bollywood is business of “selling dreams”. Sole purpose of bollywood is taking away all the problems,issues,tensions from lives of aam aadmi and give him three hours of break where he can dream,he can enjoy,he can forget everything .

Politics is not much different than bollywood in this aspect, specially in relation to aam aadmi. If we read at party manifestos of various parties , it is ‘selling dreams’ business.

3) Unpredictable :

Ask any experienced actor,director or producer about why particular movie gets hit or flop and they wont be able to answer or pin point to particular reason. In same lines ask vajpayee why NDA lost in 2004 or ask UPA that inspite of 2008,inspite of ‘cash for vote scam’ why they won and they too wont be able to answer.

UPA-2 is most corrupted government ever in independent India but would they loose in 2014?. Well none can say so. Politics and bollywood are both unpredictable things, both depend on people and mood of people changes more than sensex!!!!!!!!

4) Similar Structures :

To make a bollywood movie , one needs finance,story, producer,director,actor and lots of support staff which are called spot boy , production man , light man etc. The cream of all the efforts is taken away by face of movie which is actor,actress as well as director/producer while support staff hardly gets anything.

To make political party one needs finance , manifesto, face (leader) and lot of workers (cadres). If we look at parliament , cream is taken by face of party while workers remain where they were always!!!!!!

Both bang of people support to meet their purpose but faces become stars while people remain where they are!!!!!!!!

The above are few of similarities between bollywood and politics…But unlike politics , bollywood mostly entertain and fullfills its promise in return of money, for politics we cannot say the same thing!!!!!!!

Sardar Patel and the Maharaja of Patiala

When India got independent from Britishers , what Britishers left behind was India which had 500 kingdoms in it . This is minus pakistan. It took lot of efforts by sardar patel to make that 500 kingdoms into one nation!!!!!!

What was purpose of that?. Purpose was having one country with democracy . Democracy where common people would elect their own representatives. Representatives mean the people who represent . The people who have been elected by common larger lot of people.

Idea of democracy was to have people’s rule and not dictator rule or rule by kings or queens. If we wanted that then what was use of freedom?

Our Founding fathers made best constitution possible. The constitution which was meant to strengthen democracy and was made keep in view with diversity of India and plural ethos of India.

India is plural and extremely diverse society. It is region where hinduism , buddhism , jainism , sikhism originated. It is country where jews,parsis,Islam, Christianity came in and became part of India.

It is country with strong regional legacy. It is country with strong linguistic legacy and it is also country where we have so many sub cultures.

In such a country which such huge population, inclusiveness is only way it can move forward and grow. Secularism is only option which India can have to continue with its destination of becoming economically thriving country which is home to everyone who is Indian.

As Independent India started its journey, it was represented by political party in parliament which had people from every walk of life , every part of country , every faith. It was party which truly represented India.

But as we entered mid sixties , the ruling party soon started becoming owned by few individuals. As Indira gandhi started growing stronger , she started sidelining powerful people in the party who could have posed threat to her in quest of power.

Indira started weakening congress itself  by destroying system formed by mahatmas, maulana, sardar and likes of them. She became sarve sarva of congress and loyalty to nehru family became the chief criteria to be in kitchen cabinet and have political ambition.

Sudden death of Indira Gandhi did put Rajiv Gandhi on the hot seat.After death of rajiv , gandhi family went on political syanyas but damaj done by Indira was too hard to recover for congress. It too went down in popularity which made sonia gandhi enter politics again. She managed to win back to back elections for congress bringing them to power.

Today we have Rahul gandhi projected as future prime minister of India. We have young leader of congress who inherited politics.

In Dr Ram Guha’s lecture on ‘why India wont be super power and why India should not be super power’ , one of points he rightly made was dynasty politics which was started by congress and duplicated by parties like dmk, shiv sena, akali dal , biju janta dal , to name few.

If way things I going and I dont want to sound as alarmist but we are moving back to situation of 1947 where we had 500 families who were so called kings …This is not right path for vibrant democracy . In democracy politics is one of careers which should be open for every Indian . Every Indian must have right to enter politics and work his way up the ladder.

But if we look at current system of various party , one can climb the ladder only to certain level. Top most is reserved for family. One can have right thought , right ideas , right passion to serve the country but that doesnot matter if one is not loyal to particular family!!!!!!!!!

Recently I viewed ‘Bharat Ek Khoj’ on youtube. In episode of chanakya there is a scene where senapati of dhanand’s regime meets chanakya…Dhanand had died by that time and this sena pati had vowed to take revenge. Chankaya invited him to join chandragupt’s regime instead. Sena Pati said he is loyal to dhanand . To this chankaya said one must be loyal to country and not king. Country is more important than any individual.

Now how does above scene from event which occurred thousands of years ago is relevant today?. Today we have system where first loyalty is demanded towards party leader. Now it is important for discipline of party but loyalty to larger issues makes one more vocal and more expressive rather than taking everything which comes from leader in name of loyalty.

If we wanted some 500 families to rule on us , what was use of freedom then?. Congress projects itself as guardian of secularism but in name of secularism , can we have dynasty rule?.

Unfortunately there are not many who oppose dynasty rule in way they should. We don’t have any rule or criteria which can bar people from becoming party chiefs for third term ,nor we have any term limit for prime minister post.

Dynasty politics is curse for India and unless we realize it , it would stay. I hope we do realize it before it is too late.

I was watching ‘bharat ek khoj’ on you tube. Interesting and fascinating , though also controversial at few places , bharat ek khoj does take us to journey of bharat as country.

It is amazing to see continuous civilizations and it is surprising to see India , inspite of being attractive lands for invaders who keep coming and coming. Few left but most stayed and adopted Indian way as well as influenced it.

What is more fascinating about India is how we have kept alive traditions which are thousands of years old. Inspite of all the attacks , Inspite of foreign rules , Inspite of various faith being born or entering India, India managed to adopt everything and keep moving.

India is home to third largest religion in the world called Hinduism. It is also birth place of religions like sikhs,jains,buddhism . Zoroastrian, Islam,Christianity , Judaism originated from other places but found followers in India too.

Indira Gandhi added word secularism in our constitution. I wonder was that word ever needed to be added?. Yes we had communal tensions in the past. Yes we had our country split into two on communal lines but if we look at past 5000 years of Indian History, we have inherently being secular. There was no vote bank politics in those days , there was no ‘west looking’ in those days , there was no pressure to be secular in those days. We have absorbing culture since thousands of years …

Coming to secularism , since it came into existence in our constitution , it began to be used/misused by left, right and center , in attempt to cater their respective vote banks.

As years went passing , Rajiv Gandhi became prime minister of India. He did some wonderful things for the country. Like communication , computer. He had vision of taking India ahead which he should be given credit of.  But at same time he tried to play to the gallery and his few decision can be said to be motivated with communal angle. First being amending constitution for shahbano case…Second being opening locks of Ram Mandir in Ram jhanambhoomi…

“A position that religious belief should not influence public and governmental decisions; The related political belief in the separation of church and state”.

So if we go by above definition Rajiv’s interference in above examples can be said as divergence from secularism.

What got triggered out of it was one of most volatile period in history of modern India. BJP rose in popularity and also went on to form government under atal bihar vajpayee’s leadership.

During those phase “secularism” had a very new definition. Secularism’s definition got very very limited and it was reduced to pro BJP or anti BJP norm. If one supports BJP , he/she is not secular and If one opposes BJP he/she is secular.

This gave window of opportunity for many corrupted parties to get together to form alliance in name of secularism. ‘Dharm Nirpaksht Taqate’ against Communal forces became reason for alliance or projected reason for alliance.

Ram Mandir ,Gujarat Riots and Orissa riots didnt help BJP either. Liberals,  gandhians and minorities began to run away from BJP and  this is one of three important factors which have kept BJP away from power. Other two being that it is considered to be upper caste party by sc/st and it too has had its own share of corruption.

Now coming to Narendra Damodhar Modi, the chief minister of gujarat. There are very few things for which every one has opinion to express. In India we have bollywood,cricket , money as those few things for which every one would have opinion but narendra modi is one such name which polarizes opinon. Arguably he is most controversial politician in main stream.

In 2002 gujarat saw worst form of communal violence in recent times. Infact it was among three worst communal violence in Last 64 years. First being jinnah’s direct action day which was countered by hindu maha sabha . Second was secular congress’s sikh riots and third being gujarat riots.

But during era of jinnah and congress’s sikh riots , we didnt have 24 * 7 news channels which was there at times of modi and sabse tej channels should us live inhumanity in full display.

Narendra Modi was alleged of inaction for first three days which led to killing of 2000 people which had muslims as major victim community. Modi was slammed by nation media , NGOs , human right groups . Modi was asked to follow Raaj Dharm By then prime minister Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Cornered and under immense pressure from various groups , Narendra Modi took on challenge of transforming gujarat and worked towards development and betterment of the same. Today one of gujarat’s district is second fastest growing entity in whole asia after china. Gujarat has shown unprecedented growth since decade .

Does that take away anything from riots victims?. Does that justify mindless violence ?. Answer is no. Matter is in court and court would surely give justice to victims of the horrible crime.

Point Which I am making is not whether modi is guilty or not . Point I am making in shallow definition of secularism.

- When anna hazare praised modi , he was slammed

- When anil ambani praised modi , congress compared him with hitler

- When USA Congress research group praised modi , it became below dignity for congress to comment

- When mehbubba mufti was quote to have praised modi , omar abdullah was soon to critize her and she herself denied having ever praised modi!!

Now I call it as senseless politics. What were all above mentioned people or group praised modi for?. Obviously development and none of modi’s knowledgeable critic argues on that.

We have tradition of praising even worst people than modi. We have had history of looking good things and learning from them even in people we dont admire or like. We praise ashoka for peace drive not for man slaughters he was responsible for. We praise akhbar for his secular governance , not for all wars which he did on his way to become emperor. We also praise britishers for railways . Dont we?.

From when did our civilization became so immature that praising something good in someone becomes communal and non secular?????????

Modi’s development model is success , now by praising that , does one become less secular?. For some it may be the way it is , for me it is senseless politics…

JDU is one of key ally of BJP and part of National Democratic Alliance (NDA).Janta Dal United (JDU) categorically said that they would oppose narendra modi’s bid of becoming prime minister of INDIA, if BJP comes up with his name as candidate in 2014 elections.

We are currently in year 2011 and 2014 elections are still at least 2.5 years to go. In two and half years lot of things can change. May be Narendra Modi would get charge sheeted in the court or may be he would go scot free. May be he would be able to win trust of muslims of gujarat , particularly.Let us look at three stats which might give some cue

1)There were around 20,000 muslims who visited modi’s sadbhavna fast venue.

2)There have been 11% muslims who purchased BMW last yeat according to BMW dealer of gujarat.

3) Narendra Modi gave 100 muslims tickets in nagar palika elections last year…

But does that mean he would have home run?. Obviously not , trial is still on and all propoganda of clean chit is myth. Supreme court has just followed procedure and allowed trial court to proceed with the case .

Now coming to Janta Dal United’s stand of not supporting Narendra Modi ,as prime minister candidate , well in India tradionally Prime Minister Of India , depends more on luck than any other factor. People’s support is least factor affecting the decision of who would become prime minister.

Unlike United States Of America , we dont have direct election for most powerful post. We elect party which in turn elects who would become prime minister of India. Since last 15 years , we dont even elected government. We elect parties , who is turn form alliance and then largest party selects who would become prime minister of India and based on allies’s confidence , he/she becomes prime minister of India!!!!!!!!!!

What is percentage of votes which congress got?. Only 11 crores and it is largest party of united progressive alliance (UPA-2). Now how was UPA-1 formed?. Parties who claim to have similar ideology got together to form alliance which ensured that they have sufficient seats to claim formation of government. Sonia Gandhi being Italian by birth and Indian by marriage faced resistance. She gave up post of prime minister but selected her own trusted man , Dr manmohan singh as prime minister. It is more matter of convenience than anything else.

If we look at history , when congress had crisis after death of lal bhadhur shashtri , it was convenience of congress which led to elevation of INDIRA GANDHI as prime minister of India. She went on to become most powerful prime minister of India till date but context of selecting her was more about convenience than about anything else at that point of time.

Rajiv gandhi got the post of prime minister because of unexpected demise of Indira Gandhi who was assisinated by her own guards. Death of Rajiv Gandhi by LTTE bomb attack , made narshima Rao as prime minister.

Now we have Dr Manmohan Singh who has clean image , who brought India to International Road Map by globalization but truth is that it was his sheer luck that SONIA GANDHI could not become prime minister because of her origins. Otherwise he would have remained as finance minister .

If we look at ifs and buts , consider the following :

a) If sardar would have declined mahatma’s request and asserted his claim based on congress’s units support?
b) If shashtri wont have died?. According to Ram Guha , Indira was all set to get settled in England but sudden death of shahstri made her change plans.
c) If Indira would have survived?
d) If Rajiv Wont have died?
e) If Sonia Would still taken up post of Prime Minister Of India?

Whether NARENDRA DAMODHAR MODI Would ever get top most post is matter of convenience of alliance and his luck. Who knows how things would be two and half years down the line. Yes according to me NDA’s best bet would be NITISH KUMAR and not modi but only time would tell what are chances of a)NDA in 2014 and b) Modi’s chance of becoming prime minister of India.

If we really want prime ministership to be purely and solely people’s choice , we must have direct election for post of prime ministers, till then it would be convenience and luck factor than any thing else.

I received an sms today . The message said that shrimati sonia gandhi is not so educated , she worked as waitress . It also claimed that rahul gandhi has dual passport!!!!!!!!.

Now what has sonia gandhi being less educated or worked as waitress to do with current mood in the country?. Sonia did to waitress job when she was in college to take care of her expense and what is wrong in that. Infact that should make sonia and her followers proud of that she worked to make her meet her expense. We have so many politicians who have their sons and daughters in foreign but they dont need to work to meet their expense!!!!!!!

Why I am writing this post?. Am I congress supporter?. Well I am neither congress supporter nor BJP supporter. I am supporter of policies on its quality basis rather than who forms it or who brings it.

I personally oppose nehru-gandhi dynasty as principal . I am strong opposer of clan based politics. But at same time I can’t simply reject sonia gandhi. She has been congress chief and had won two back to back elections to her credit. Whether any one likes it or not it still remains a fact.

Yes I do blame congress for what ever situation country is and at same time they do get credit for contribution in bringing country to where it is. They have been in power for most of time and so they get blame as well as credit for many things.

Anna hazare movement has not only taken nation by storm but it has also made us sit and take notice. It has pressurized government to bring a bill which governments since last 40 + years have avoided bringing.

It has made people debate about corruption and it has shown all political parties about how frustrated people are with corruption. It is demand of nation to have strong anti corruption bill. People may disagree with anna’s version but majority agree that corruption is big big issue which needs to dealt with.

Whether we agree with anna or not , whether we like his way or not , whether we agree with his version of bill or not , we must give credit to this man for bringing people from various walks of life together and bringing corruption to national debate .

But anna movement is not anti sonia gandhi movement . It is not anti rahul gandhi movement. Let us not misunderstand the movement. Movement was , is for strong anti corruption bill call ‘jan lok pal bill’. For those who are unaware , anna hazare had fasted in 1996 for 15 days against ministers of bjp-shiv sena government.

Dont give shades to the movement. It is not sonia hatao or rahul hatao or dr manmohan singh hatao movement. It is war against corruption by india against corruption.

Jinhe Naaz Hai Hind Pe Woh Kahan Hai?. These are lines of an old song. During those eras too , people of this great country had started feeling  being let down by dear politicians. With time politics started becoming business where half of mps , mlas came from politicial family, where  serving people got replaced with ruling people and when politics became art of fixing than art of serving.

In today’s time if politician does scam of 1 crore , it looks like peanuts even to person earning Rs 100 a day!!!!!!!. Times of Rs 100 crore scams  are gone and in today’s age where crorepati seems too less , our politicians have changed the game and scams are not considered to be worth  while if it doesnot be in terms of minimum Rs 1000 crore!!!!!!

As usual congress leads the game with most number of scams in independent India. The seeds were planted during nehru era itself and Indira  took things further by becoming first prime minister of India  found guilty of dishonest election practices, excessive election expenditure, and of using government machinery and officials for party purposes. Rajiv era saw bofors scam , while narshima rao was seen saving his chair by bribing shibu soren. Dr singh has been sitting at peak of government which saw cwg scam , 2g scam to name few..

Congress has had ruled India most and has had most opportunities to make most of it too. In name of development , secularism and aam aadmi  , the aam aadmis of congress have gone to become khaas aadmis with lot of cash in their kitty.

If congress leads how can party with difference be left behind if they get an opportunity to do so?. Bharatiya Janta Party which aims to be in  center in 2014 too has had its share of scams. Though not in volume of congress but in limited time period which they got , they did show their  capacity and ability for scams.

Be it be alleged favorism to reliance or tie up with infamous shibu soren or getting its chief caught on camera taking money , BJP too has shown  that the party with difference is in the end in business of politics and though it is rival of congress , it is bhai bhai in terms of money made from  aam aadmi!!!!!!!

BJP had its first government installed in south in form of yeddurappa being sworn in as karnataka. All seems well till yeddy favoring his kins came into light. What followed was famous statement by BJP chief gadkari who said that what yeddy did was immoral but not illegal!!!!!!!!!!. Now as lokayukt report was made public yeddy would go ,if BJP wants to survive. Yeddy till yesterday maintained that he wont resign . Now why do our politicians need to be dragged out?. Why do Rajas, Kalmadis, Chauhans , Yeddys dont resign and wait for party chief to kick them out?. Why do they wait for media to build pressure , public to become angry and party to be left with no option?.

Answer lies in perhaps who we as people of India are for politicians?. We are more of raw materials which is needed to get numbers. We are resources which can be manipulated , we are aam aadmis who become stepping stones for few people who in turn become khaas aadmi!!!!!

Who we are for ourselves is who we are for our politicians and we would keep getting parties like we have and individuals like rajas , yeddys till we change how we see ourselves and how we view our voting rights. If we want good individuals to serve us , we need to get out of religion,caste concept and vote for people who want to serve rather than people who want to earn!!!!!!!!!!!!…Isn’t it?

I love outlook magazine. No they haven’t hired me as their marketer and they neither need me as their marketer. I am writing this as genuine fan of out look.

Few days back I had written about one wonderful article written by Ram guha titled ‘enemies of idea of India’ . Today I am going to share another wonderful article with recommendations that all who care about our great nation must read it. It might not sound alarming in today’s scenario but 50 years down the line , if same thing prevails we would be heading to back to pre Britishers days as far as government is concerned.

The article is research piece of partick french and he took the pain along with lot of his Indian friends to do survey about Indian politicians in parliament. The idea was to understand how many are from political family.

The results were not surprising but still surprising. It was like we knew it long back but we didn’t wanted to acknowledge it. It was like no body gave up in one sheet to understand how many were there and how it can bring us back to pre Britishers days.

We always knew that Rahul gandhi , scindia , pilot , sangma , varun gandhi , akhilesh yadav and many many others were part of parliaments. We also knew that many like ritesh’s deshmukh’s brother , thackerays , lalu’s son were part of state politics but what we didn’t knew was that every member of parliament under 30 belonged to political family and every member of parliament from congress under 35 too belonged to political family. What we didn’t know was that it is around 250 members of parliament whose dad or grand father or grand mother or mother or uncle or brother had something to do with politics and this became ticket for these 250 people to enter parliament and form laws which governs us.

If these people are accused of having short cuts to become ‘tum bataoge ke hindustan kaise jiyega’ , we the people are equally to be blamed. When ever any critic of  ‘hum saath saath hai’  accuses political parties of giving tickets to their bahus, or betis or betas or wives or sons or son in laws , political parties come up with very simple answer. Well people elected them and did sent them to parliament , we just gave ticket but they passed the test of democracy.

Being fair to these politicians , some of them are doing great jobs as mps and party workers. They are trying to justify their elections too but biggest problem by the system which is evolving day by day is that normal citizen , no matter how much he feels for the country  ,no matter how much he/she can contribute with their time , talent and passion , they might never be able to represent aspirations of people in future.

Before britishers took over India , we didn’t have any powerful central government. Mughals were token rulers while maharashthas were strongest force. Again maharashtha were having different kingdom as scinidias , gakewad to name few.

What britishers did was to over take 500 small kingdoms and that is what they gave to first government of India , when they left. Brilliance of legendary sardar patel united these 500 kingdoms. Here I am not talking about pakistan and bangladesh. Parted India had 500+ kingdoms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What 500+ kingdoms means is 500 families who ruled over India and what political system is getting evolved is seeing 250 heirs of political families which might end up becoming entire parliament in years to come.

What we need is democracy among political parties which allows a system where any normal citizen can apply for post of prime minister candidate and then there should be voting among party workers to name the canditature.

Officially most parties do have post of party chief which are officially elected. But how those elections occur is for all to see.

Scindia himself said that politicians are mirror of society. Onus lies on us as much as it lies on parties. How do we want to see India in future. Answer to this question would determine our will to influence parties or else…well politics would remain family owned ventures.

1) Deve Gowda had abused cheif minister of karnataka Mr B S Yeddyurappa on camera . Though he later apologized , it showed how ex prime minister conducts his life

2) Congress MLA of madhya pradesh taunted BJP woman MLA. Comments were that she might have got late because , she might have gone to beauty parlor.

Now this congress MLA needs to explain that what would be his comments when rahul gandhi might turn late.

Yes one must never be late but such comments are unacceptable

3) Mulayam Singh yadav made following comments while opposing women reservation bill

“If the Women’s Reservation Bill would be passed in its present form, it would help women belonging to the families of industrialists and bureaucrats, who were of the kind youths would want to whistle at.”

He was addressing a rally. Coming from a party chief such comments are un desirable

4) BJP party chief gatakari equated lalu and mulayam’s stand during cut motion to lion turned dogs .

“Woh Sonia ke talwe chatne waale kutte hain,” was his comments about lalu and mulayam singh yadav

Even at times top leaders like sonia gandhi and vajpayee has erred..Sonia called narendra modi ‘maut ka saudagar’ forgetting that narendra modi was chief minister who is constitutional head .

Atal bihari vajpayee’s infamous statement was ‘hum kunvaare hain’ in response to sonia’s vidvah comments.

Ironically these politicians are representative of Indian people and may be the way they comment , the way they carry themselves in reflection of us?. But as leader it is they would are expected to show the way and not other way round , isn’t it?

May be we can add course on mannerism in future for all our representatives.
