Lady Forced To Give Birth On Road Side – HIV+ Ignorance Continues

Andhra’s shocker , a lady gave birth to child on road side. Reason?. She is HIV+ and government hospital refused to take her in!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we all know that government is working hard to make sure that awareness for HIV and Aids reaches people. There are ads , there are hoardings , there are camps but still people largely views HIV+ patients as someone who has done something wrong and one needs to run away from them!!!!!! In today’s world of commercialization even doctors and hospitals are more concerned about their turn overs than patients. My father has history of eye problems. He had low vision in the nights since he was child , then he had glaucoma and other such eye related problem. In 1994 he lost his vision , almost completely. Doctors said that its case of some bacterial degeneration that has covered the retina and veins connecting brain with eye have dried up. Woman Who Accepted Death With Smile

Today’s story is of a woman who worked as small time clerk in Indian Railways. She had family of 6 , with two daughters and two sons. Born in orissa and working in Gujarat , Ashnaji was a very strong and cheerful lady. She was always full of life and once you met her , you can’t miss meeting her again. Life was good till she was detected from cancer. Detection was bit too late. “Cancer” word itself scars people and for those who are detected from it , its like going to die , thought dominate brain.
