Stephen Hawking ,God and Human Race
Stephen hawking is in news these days. One of most outstanding scientist of current era ,Stephen hawking is well respected figure in world of science.His book ‘brief history of time’ is one of best seller . In his latest book called grand design ,hawking has stated that laws of physics created universe out of nothing and god was not required for that. Stephen hawking has had used word god number of times in past but he maintains that he is not religious as per general definition of religion. Mr Swami Agnivesh -Religion Is Matter Of Faith
Swami Agnivesh is back in news. The naxal-government mediator and Anna Hazare’s team man , Swami Agnivesh sparked controversy by stating that amarnath yatra is fraud in name of religion. He wondered why do people go to amarnath yatra at first place since shivling (in amarnath) is natural process . He also stated that amarnath yatra had nothing to do with religion. Religion is highly sensitive topic. Humans can die for sake of religion and can kill for sake of religion. Religion has potential of bringing best in humans and even worst in humans. 26/11 , 9/11 , gujarat riots,crusaders are examples of what religion can do when it comes to inhumaness. Does Religion Needs Protection?
As I was on my way back to home from office , I saw a car which had sticker that read ‘xyz religion is in danger, awaken to protect it’ . This led me think that does religion needs protection?. Be it be any religion , most believe in source called god. Source which created entire universe and all species. Source which itself came as avtaar (in hindusim) or sent a prophet (as in Islam) or himself came as jesus (as in christianity) . God established a system called religion which had moral , social norms and rules. How to pray , rituals , social systems , sin ,duties and many such things. All In Name Of God
Religious forums are generally last place to visit because many times two people who have faith in respective religions try to ridicule each other and put each other’s faith down. Yesterday while browsing a networking site I came across a religious forum and my curoisity took over and I decided to read some of posts of that forum. It was argument going on between two groups belong to two different faiths. Ironically both agreed that of following : 1) There is God who is all powerful 2) God created universe and every species on earth 3) All humans are his creation and He loves all 4) There is a judgement day Now when all agreed where was the difference .
