Jessica lal Case : Manu Sharma’s High Court Judgement Upheld By SC

11 Years of fight for justice. 11 years which saw jessica’s family pitched against rich and powerful. Witness turning hostile ,trial court acquitting the accused including manu sharma , highcourt finding him guilty and now finally supreme court uphelding highcourt’s judgement.

Jessica lal murder case is case study of how a normal citizen can finding hard to get justice against powerful people . Jessica lal muder case is also case study of how our judiciary system still delivers inspite of loopholes in the system. Jessica lal murder case is also case study of power of media and normal citizens. Above all jessica lal murder case is case study of how determined family can keep in fighting for justice and keep hope alive for all other Indian citizens in our legal citizen.

Announcing the verdict , “The Delhi High Court has given cogent and adequate reasons for reversal of acquittal given by the trial court,” the bench said. “The presence of accused is proved by ocular evidence of prosecution witnesses.”

Jessica’s sister Sabrina Lal welcomed the Supreme Court’s verdict. “It’s not impossible to nab the culprits. We should not lose faith in judiciary. I would like to thank god, my family and media for this justice,” she said.

Jessica Lal’s soul might be able to finally rest in peace.

Bizarre Panchayat Judgement

A man(uncle) rapes a minor. She approaches panchayat for justice. Panchayat finds accused man gulity of raping the minor  and they decide not to report to police but themselves punish the man.

What is punishment given to the man?. Well he is slapped five time with shoes of face!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you heard it right. 5 slaps for raping a woman.

When minor’s mother approached police , police registered the case and arrested the man.

This is not first time such a bizaare judgement was passed by panchayat. Few months back a couple of seven years were asked to live as brother and sisters since both belonged to same clan!!!!!!!!.

They have a child whose custody was given to mother and child’s father was asked to deposit 5 lakhs for well being of child.

Now couple had married legally as per Indian Laws which doesnot prohibit marriage in same gothras but panchayat felt other wise and announce the decision.

Its high time our government does take notice about such bizzare decision which are against constitution of India.

Time To Judge The Judges

In country of over 1 billion people , in country which is largest democracy in the world , we have had immense faith in our judiciary system. Our political system is one of most corrupted in the world , our administrative system in one of most in efficient and our police department are doubted to make more money than solve cases. In such scenario we trust our judiciary.

Our judiciary has stood test of people’s faith and largely being able to provide sense of justice to the people. Be it be high profile cases like jessica murder case or be it be some PIL , judiciary has performed .

But recently our judiciary system is under scanner. Recently India was shocked with corruption charges leveled at two judges from punjab. A fatal nexus between goons and judiciary was un earthed.

If that was not enough , two judges from andra pradesh were arrested on dowry harrasment case. Father-Son duo along with son’s mother were arrested. They are alleged to harass their bahu and also tried to bribe police to toture bride’s brother!!!!!!!!!!

Recently a judge said in his judgement that those who take dowry have no right to stay in civilized world. Little did this judge knew that few days later his own colleagues would be arrested for similar reasons.

Greed and qualification are not related. Human being can be poor and not greed and some human being can become judge , engineer , doctor , surgeon , ceo but still take dowry!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time has come to judge the judges…

Lover Sells His Girl Friend For 25,000 Rs

A tragic , in human , shocking case has come to light. Published in gujarat daily the case is of a girl who one mistake spoiled her life. Mistake of trusting the person she loved.

Four years ago a nisha (name changed to protect identity) ran away with her lover. Lover had promised her that he would get married. The girl falled prey to this promise and ran away from her house. The lover of the girl took her to different places of his relatives and for two months repetitively raped her.

Then he along with another girl sold nisha for mere 25000 Rs to a couple. The couple within a week sold nisha to another man for mere 50,000 Rs!!!!!!!

The man took her to his house and married with her forcefully. He repetitively raped her and kept her as captive. Nisha became pregnant and has 1.5 year old son too out of this marriage which her husband had purchased for 50,000 Rs!!!!!!

The husband used to torture her and treat her as animal. Nisha finally ran away and managed to reach her home.

Irony of the story is that her dad expired and nisha could not see him before he died. Nisha’s dad had filed complain but police didn’t take matter seriously.

Such cases are not isolated ones but quite in number. Its easy to blame the girl for her mistake but we as society too are directly/indirectly responsible for such incidents.

I dont understand this running away concept. But at same time i believe that lack of communicative enivornment in the family leads to such occurance. Every parents love their offsprings . Every parents want better life for their offsprings but there is some communication gap. The enivornment should be such that girl or boy can put their point of view without fear and discuss things out.

Its tragedy that a father died without seeing her daughter , knowing her where abouts . How painful it might have been for a father. May his soul rest in peace.

Talking about nisha. How horrfying this four years might have been for her?. Would she be able to trust anyone again?. What about the child?. What is his fault?

Sad tragic and shameful incident.

MMS : Latest Weapon Of Rapists

3 people were arrested few months from meera road , mumbai today on complain of a 19 year old girl. They had gang raped her on 14th may 2009 . The total people involved in rape were 7 , out of which 3 were arrested. Police is looking for 4 others.

Now if you wonder why did the girl who was raped on 14th didnt complain earlier. Reason was that she was threatened . Rapist had taken mms of the rape .

Surat rapist had done similar thing , when they did make movie of the rape scene. This mms is soon becoming weapon for rapist where they rape and take mms and girl because of fear avoids complaining.

Already our social system is such that often rape victim is viewed as being actual culprit. We have only 27% conversion rate in case of rape. Often rape victim gets raped thrice. Once actually , second time by eyes of people and third time in court where defense lawyer tries to prove rape as consentual sex.

If these was not enough now rapist have this mobile phone using which they can make clip and threaten to make it public.

We as society need to change attitude towards rape and also teach girls art of self defense to avoid such incidents.

I pray to god to give this girl strengh to recover from the trauma which she might have gone through.
