Poonam Pandey had promised to go clothes less ,if India wins the world cup 2011. M S Dhoni hit six in final match and brought lakhs on streets for celebration. Poonam Pandey seems to have got inspired from our politicians and did what manish tewari did during anna’s fast. She simply vanished from the scene. Sports Bill : BCCI,IOA Would See More Transparency?
New sports bill would be soon taken up by cabinet. The bill has been doing rounds in media since few months. In outlook article on ravi shashtri and sunil gavaskar who are on pay roll of bcci and also commentator , sports minister of India too was interviewed. In his interview sports minister of India , Mr Ajay Maken had mentioned the new sports bill which would bring all sports association under public scrutiny. It would have RTI applicable to it . This itself would be one big big step considering how closed boards are to public scrutiny. Ricky pointing yesterday said in radio interview that he was shocked. Known as punter himself , he felt that allegation on pakistani team should be investigated to get to the root and he also suspected that it is culture of subcontinent. View which watson too subscribed too in more polite manner. Anil Kumble slammed this stating that it happened in west Indies , southafrica and even Australia . Now questioning laxman’s selection in test team is like questioning ‘why is tata’s name in most trust worthy business men?’.
