Corrupt India : Why It Still Survives and Keeps Going?
Yesterday I went home late, infact very late. I reached home at 11.30 in the night and had dinner. Since I had an hectic day , I thought of having tea and catch up with news. So I switched on the television . It was Rajdeep sardesai with his program , India at 9. India at 9 repeats at 12. Rajdeep sardesai was showing sting operation which his network along with Cobrapost. Sting showed what we suspected , knew and accepted long before. It showed how MLAs were trying to sell their votes for 50 lakhs to one crore. Common wealth games 2010 is also biggest sports event that India has ever organized and last big sports event was way back in 80s when India had organized asian games.54 countries participate in common wealth games which is held every four years. Common wealth is basically group of countries which was ruled by britian and common wealth games was started in 1930 with name of british empire games. Proud To Be An Indian : It is people who matter
I remember when ahmedabad was hit by major earthquake and my building had got demolished by brutal force of nature. All people living in my building were humbled by nature. Lives were lost , property was demolished. Help started pouring in from all quarters. People helped with time , even with money. Rich , poor , hindu , sikhs , muslims ,christians , jains , all contributed . Not just for us but for all effected in ahmedabad and in kutch. Another example of people’s generosity and humanity is example of gayatri devi. A freedom fighter fighting for her rights. Rs 30 lakh on snacks
Image via Wikipedia Few days ago a report was published in leading indian news website which stated that every 1 in four Indians are hungry. That report brought images of starving people in orissa few years ago. Ironically during same time rotten wheats where thrown in sea. Wheat which was kept in government godowns from years !!!!!!! India is indeed pathetic is some areas and distribution system is one such area. CNN-IBN ran a report of wheats,rice being wasted in godowns while many starve in India. Now another report has come in cnn-ibn. Great Indian Committee called common wealth games committee had snacks worth of Rs 30 lakhs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since entrance of private players in news channels , the highly competitive field of news has many stories , sub stories which are shown as news. While many news do matter to India some are simply non news like rakhi sawant , dimpy ganguly , salman-katrina , dhoni’s new hair style and deepika’s new looks. They do matter to millions fans though but it makes least difference to how they are general India lives , earns. But news channels are 24 hour channels and have to show something. So above mentioned things can be said as fillers or spices needed to keep recipe right till main news comes into the arena.
