Indian Muslims Are Intelligent People Mr Secular

Today lalu cried foul as mulayam joined him. Lalu accused congress of undergoing a deal to get nuclear liability bill passed in parliament. Deal which would see narendra modi getting clean chit from CBI for sohrabuddin case while bjp in turnsupporting congress led upa in getting bill passed.

The bill needs to be passed before obama comes calling to India in november. So on periphery the opposition’s argument looks logical . After all weren’t mulayam , lalu and even mayawati saved from cbi by congress when congress needed them. So since they themselves have seen such deal and have been part of it , they know such thing can happen.

Here deal or no deal is not as important issue for both lalu and mulayam. The issue is getting muslim votes and securing them. Narendra modi as we all know is believed to be man behind gujarat riots . Narendra modi like bal thackeray is believed by many right wing believers as their savier in what they call as Jihad and encircling of India by fanatics of Islam.

Ironically secular parties have used fears among minorities , specially muslims to get their votes. The same weapon of fear is being used by right wings to get hindu votes!!!!!!!!!. Those hindus who succumb to the fear quite often vote for them while many hindus vote for them because they like their ideology and nothing wrong in it. In same way many muslims vote for

congress or mulayam or mayawati not because of fear but because of what they claim to stand for. But use of fear is one of primary ways for secular parties to get muslim and other minority votes!!!!!!

Coming to another aspect of minorities and Indian muslims. Well if you are Indian ,it is likely that you are aware about sarchar comittee report.If not google it. According to the report in last 63 years , position of muslims in India is not very encouraging. This figures are inspite of secular party being in control for majority of years!!!!!!!!!!!

Why?. Is it that secular parties dont belief in upliftment of muslims or poor or dalits?. Answer is no and answer is very simple. Answer is that political brass of subcontinent region have single religion. That is called power seekers an their deity is power.They may be congress or sp or bjp or mqm or ppp or any. Their entire efforts is to get in power and fear sells, fear works . When pakistan was created by jinnah , getting dominated by hindus specially pundits theme . Now there is not such threat in pakistan . Since religion is no issues , region is.

Coming to India we have religion as tool since we have so many religions which can produce votes and if religion doesnot work , caste does and when caste doesnot work well region is always there.

What surprises me is that after so many years still politicians can think that Indian muslims and minorities can be fooled.They can use their fears and concerns to get votes. They might have got their purposes served in past but can this work forever?. Suppose some minority turns majority in say 100 years , some other lalu or mulayam would then use hindus for votes!!!!!!!!

I know many muslims some of whom are close friend of mine. I dont know whom they vote , neither do I ask them. In same ways they dont ask me questions about whom I vote. Our relationship is time tested and survived one of worst riots . What binds us is mutual respect , dreams , sharing without predujice ,goals , supporting each other , cheering each other. It doesnot require same religion to be friends. Beneath layers of religion and caste is human being who dreams , aspires , wants to give best to family , wants to enjoy small happiness which comes along with day to day life.

Religion is for making good human beings not dividing humans. Religion is for moral life not we v/s they theme. Indian muslims are intelligent people and this so called secular parties need to understand this. Instead of using fear as theme , they need to work for betterment of all including majority. Idea of India was that irrespective of caste , creed and religion  a person would be able to live life full of diginity , self respect and work for his/her betterment. Our constitution is perfect document for enabling every citizen to live good life , what is needed is just implementation of the document in letter and the spirit.

My dream for future politics in India is debate about all citizens and not tagging them in name of religion or caste or gender. Politics which is inspiring for every Indian. India where religion becomes private matter and when anyone walks out of his/her house , being Indian matters and all are treated equal.
