IPL (Indian Premier League) has everything premium about it. Team owners who are whose who from world of bollywood and business.. Mukhesh ambani , Vijay Malaya the two big tickets of business along with non other than shahrukh khan as KKR owner while preity zinta , shilpa shetty adding omph to the tournament.

Along with rich and famous owners , the kind of money involved in IPL is something which was unheard of in the world of cricket. People who had play hardly few matches getting crores as their fees. Team franchise being bought in range of 400 crores to 1700 crores!!!!!!!!!!!…Wow BCCI hit jackpot with the introduction of the league.

But when one has big money , big media coverage , Bollywood involved , scandals where bound to happen. Scandals , controversies soon became part of game called IPL.

In first season it was hidden ipl player story , the hidden player who alleged many things and projected himself as insider.

Then we had south african model/cheer girl who wrote on blog some real experience of how players behave and in Land of mahatama gandhi , she was shown door from ipl…

Lalit modi made famous tweet which led to his down fall. Tweet on sunanda pushkar and her stake in kochi franchise. Tweet created waves and resulted in shashi tharoor resign from minister of state , external affair and made lalit modi exit IPL. ED started making visits to IPL Offices.

IPL Season 5 have been biggest so far as far as scandal and controversies goes. First India tv came up with its sting operation on lesser known players who on camera boasted of getting cash more than their 30 lakh limit , of spot fixing and so on. BCCI banned five players

Next came king khan entering scuffle with security personnel of wankhede stadium . Shahrukh Khan was banned for five years by MCA (mumbai cricket association).

Today world woke up to another news from IPL. LUKE POMERSBACH , the australian player who is in Royal Challengers Banglore was arrested by police after a usa citizen (originally from India) accused him of molesting her and beating her fiance.LUKE POMERSBACH was produced before the court today and is out on interim bail.

Interestingly IPL has tag line called ‘yeh ipl hai boss’ , i suggest they should change it to yeh scandalous hai boss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shahrukh Khan Scuffle

Shahrukh Khan who was once upon a time the biggest star of bollywood , is again in news. Shahrukh Khan or King Khan or Badshah Khan yesterday got involved in ugly scuffle with security guards of wankhede stadium . He is alleged by Mumbai Cricket Association who own wankhede stadium of getting involved in verbal spat , first with security officials and then with MCA officials before being escorted by police .

The on duty Police officer (ACP) Iqbal Sheikh alleges the srk was drunk. Shahrukh Khan on other hand has different version .According to him neither he was drunk nor he started the scuffle. According to him , security personnels abused him first, mishandled children and this provoked him and he did what he did owing to events which happened before the scuffle.

Now shahrukh khan , is big big star and one would like to believe him. A man in his proper senses wont abuse others in front of his own daughter. But star involved here is none other than SHAHRUKH KHAN.

His track record of getting involved in ugly spat and scuffle is nowadays becoming more frequent than most bollywood biggies. We dont quite often find biggest stars like big b or aamir khan or akshay kumar or ajay devgan involving in such public scuffles quite often. Lately since few years even spoil brat ,salman khan has evolved himself as mature human being but SRK seems to get into one controversy after another.

Just few months back he was involved in ugly scuffle with shirish kunder , the husband on farah khan. Farah had alleged srk of beating her husband.

Shahrukh Khan’s most infamous verbal spat was with none other than salman khan. Still today salman khan doesnot have talking terms with shahrukh khan.

Other than verbal scuffles , shahrukh khan has time and again landed in one or another controversy. Calling amar singh darinda (innocent comment which provoked amar singh to send goons to manat) or srk’s manat controversy or srk’s usa loves to detain me …

Guess Shahrukh Khan cannot stay away from controversies and here is one simple challenge to badshah khan , please stay away from controversy for at least one year…Can he?…

1)For 2014 elections upa , dmk need huge chunk of money and so they called their scam expert back!!!!!!!

4) A Raja had requested tihar authorities to allow him to conduct 3 days training on how to do scam for co prisoners.

5) Maharaani and Dalit ki beti might get in tihar soon and do ek miyan mein do talvaar nahi raahe sakti..Raja had to be out to make way for rani to be in.

Mayawati Elephant Scam?

Yesterday was 60th anniversary of parliament’s first sitting . Mayawati the multi crorepati ,ex school teacher and dalit ki beti in her speech to parliament yesterday expressed her sadness regarding growing corruption which parliament has not been able to eradicate!!!!!!!!!!!

Now same behn mayawati had made news for her statues and scam in statue which can be said as elephant scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!. We all know mayawati loves her statues , her park and elephant which is symbol of her party.

According to uttar pradesh police , the elephant made in INR 7 lakhs costed government 52 lakhs (Rs 45 lakhs being transportation charges)…Nope mayawati didnt import elephant statues from africa but still managed to get it billed at Rs 45 lakhs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now here is real shocker. There are such 200 elephant statues. so exchequer paid 45 lakhs * 200 =90 crores for transporting the statues…Aditya agrawal , the man who got contract for making those statues have been arrested .

What would be mayawati’s defense?.It would be simple.It is conspiracy of bjp,congress and sp to nail the dalit’s saviour called behn mayawati.

It is not just about mayawati , most politicians dont see conspiracy when they make money through illegal means but see conspiracy when they are being tried by law.

Be it be yeddy of karnataka or a raja of dmk or mayawati of bsp.Let us see how deep the rabbit hole goes . As of now mayawati seems to be in trouble but mulayam himself has cases of disproportionate assets and so it is not clean v/s corrupt , it is who gets opportunity to nail other and when..As of now akhilesh has elephant opportunity and only time will tell that this 7 lakh a piece elephant would be big enough for mayawati or would see successfully use her dalit ki beti card and project her as victim of upper caste system…

satyamev jayate and criticism

Aamir Khan‘s satyamev jayate did make right waves in first week. The first episode was on female foeticide and the show has had its impact though symbolic one to start with. BJP government of madhya pradesh  suspended the licenses of 65 Medical Termination of Pregnancy Centres for not submitting their final reports.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan , ashok ghelot was compelled to call an emergency meeting to formulate a plan against the deteriorating sex ration in some parts of Rajasthan. Chief justice of Rajasthan has approved for fast track courts for expediting trial in the female foeticide cases.

Above two can be said as starting baby steps and to eradicate female foeticide would need lot more than one episode of aamir khan but these two are examples of positive impact that show has had in its first episode.

But with success of aamir khan’s first show comes criticism too about the show. Here are some of criticism I have come across :

1) Aamir Khan Is Making Money :

Now some debates or discussion I have seen on social media has this line often being used in criticizing the show. Aamir Khan is making lot of money from the show …

Now personally I dont mind Aamir Khan making 100 crores from the show…Thats his business . Thats what he does for living.  I dont understand why people want aamir to do a commercial show for free?…The show is not government sponsored show and it is there for making money…

To be honest Aamir Khan could have chosen any show for his television show. Dance , cooking, reality show hosting , game show , quiz or anything. He is huge brand and any production house would have paid any amount to get aamir khan doing their show. But aamir chosed to do this show based on social issue. Whats wrong with it. Show is having its impact and thats what matters…isnt it?

2) Aamir Khan Ditched His Wife and Children :

Another criticism is that aamir khan is preaching people while he himself divorced his first wife and so ditched his wife and his children.

Now suppose aamir khan never divorced would that change fate of 2 million females who where murdered in last 20 years in India?…I mean it doesnot make sense that how is aamir’s personal life anyway related to issue of female foeticide ?…

3) Aamir Khan Is Anti Hindutva :

Again let us say he is..So?…Female foetus getting killed in India since so many years is not anti hindu or anti hindutva?…Why focus on personality than on issue which was shown. I dont care if aamir does the show or narendra modi doing the show as long as we address the issue which is far more important that personalities.

Personally I would love not only aamir but all people who have influence over masses to take up issue in creative ways such that we can collectively impact issues that matter…

From social activist like anna to film stars like big bs to cricketers like dhoni to industralist like narayan murthy …collective effort can only impact issues .Isnt it?

Ambedkar Cartoon

Babasaheb Ambedkar is in news once again and this time Babasaheb ambedkar is not in news because of behn mayawati but because of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) .One of the books of CBSE has cartoon in the 11th standard social sciences book was defamatory.  The cartoon had shown Ambedkar astride on a snail and Jawaharlal Nehru standing behind brandishing a whip. The text in the book was also critical of Ambekar stating that he delayed the process of framing the Constitution and worked on it at ‘a snail’s pace’.

Now the constitution of India is longest constitution in the world and it was framed in just span of approx 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!…Now those who know anything about Indian Constitution would agree that it is one of best constitution possible and country like India stands tall today just because of foundation provided by constitution.

As chairman of drafting committee of constitution of India , baba ambedkar did a fabulous job and credit for the constitution must go to him and his team.

There where many school of thoughts which shaped modern India and every school of thought has had its influence . During freedom struggle of Indian Independence , mahatma gandhi was one of school of thoughts. Though it was most impacting , powerful school of thought but other school of thoughts too existed. Bhagat Singh , Subhash, Baba Ambedkar , Mahatma and Jinnah can be said as five most impactful leaders of subcontinent . I am not stating name of sardar patel because he can be said to be part of Mahatma Gandhi’s school of thought.

Now Jinnah is forbidden word in India but none can deny his impact . We may not like it but he did create another country out of it.

Coming to two martyrs bhagat singh and subhash chandra bose , both have huge huge impact of psychic of Indian and rightly have become immortals for all of us.

Now let us talk about another big leader , dr bhimrao ambedkar. Born as dalit bhimrao ambedkar is not just chariman of constitution committee , he is symbol of hope, will power and what is possible. He is symbol of freedom , true freedom.

If we put our shoes in dr ambedkar’s shoes , well life would have been really tough. Ambedkar was born in two kinds of slavery. One which all Indians born in ambedkar era inherited that is British Raj and second one which ambedkar inherited because of being born in particular caste. The slavery due to social evil and slavery which would have continued even if brits would have quit.

It is not easy to be Dr Ambedkar . But just using his sheer will power and power of education he stood tall and great people like gayakwaad paved way for him. Ambedkar according to me in not just dalit neta , he is leader,icon,symbol of freedom. He is martin luther king of India or rather marting luther king is ambedkar of united states of america.

The attempt to discredit him in cbse book is trend which congress followed since independence. Systematically , skillfully , willingly they projected nehru as heir of mahatma and nehru clan as being rightful heir of legacy.

As noted historian Ram Guha puts it that makers of Modern India where incredible people like sardar,mahatma , ambedkar and many others and this attempt to discredit ambedkar must be criticized in strongest possible way.

I am optimistic person and not many times in life ,I feel disappointed with the system to such an extent but these days news pouring in from all quarters is leaving me disappointed.

Chidambaram’s son’s name came into picture in Aircel-Maxis deal as parliament was rocked by allegations. Chidambaram read his son’s written statement!!!!!!!!!!…

The government called UPA-2 is most disappointing government that I have seen in last 20 years. Yes third front attempt in form of v p singh, chandrashekhar, gujral,deve gowda was disaster in form of giving stability but this government is worst and dare i say shameless.

If elections are held today , congress led upa can win elections only on one card and that is playing communal card in name of secularism. No self respecting , patriot individual can vote for this government unless he/she is emotionally motivated either by legacy of mahatma’s congress or by religion.

Unfortunately opposition parties lead by BJP doesnot give me enough faith either. Minning scams in karnataka, madhya pradesh shows capacity of BJP in corruption is not lesser than Congress. BJP in having political alliance with non other than shibu soren!!!!!!!!

Now no matter how much right wing guys love BJP , BJP needs to get its act right otherwise it gives feel too low confidence and I am sick of argument that BJP is less evil than congress…It can be said as truth considering how corrupted congress has always been since days of Indira Gandhi but dont give me choice of worse or bad…I need choice between worse and good!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately the system has become too corrupted and any party which comes to power would have to cleanse the system in big big way but to do that , elected party must have political will and must be ready to pay price and make hard decisions.

What we have currently in all political parties are politicians. What India needs is leader. I guess we should run a full page ad . Wanted : Leader For India!!!!!!!!!!

Would we see leader in future?…In that I am optimistic . We all are leaders in our way and when our collective consciousness would ignite , we might choose some one from us to be prime minister of India. It would happen , may be in 2014.

Satyamev Jayate - Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan , the perfectionist , the mega star of bollywood and the man who impacted bollywood in big big way has debuted on television. Aamir Khan reminds me of Howard Roark of Fountain Head..Though he started his career with typical movies but soon he evolved into terrain less taken and made it into big commercial success.

Aamir Khan‘s Lagaan was strict no no for bollywood. A period film with cricket as theme was considered to be too risky business. Aamir Khan took the challenge and Lagaan managed not just to become super hit movie but also enter in top 5 films in other languages in Oscar.

Aamir Khan’s first directorial film didnt have aamir khan till 15 mints before end of first half of the film!!!!!!!…It was first film in history of bollywood which had child artist entering nomination of best film actor. Taare Zameen Par was big time hit and important issue of Dyslexia was brought into drawing boards of Indians. Delivering message with entertainment is key to aamir’s success..

3 Idiots was typical Raju Hirani Movie who like aamir believes in delivering message with humor . 3 idiots did question education system of India.Haste haste raju addressed very very important issue and aamir did what he does best.

Now aamir is on television with his show called satyamev jayate.

In its first episode satyamev jayate address one of biggest and most impacting of social evils which refused to die in India. The social evil of Female Foeticide. Officially we as nation have killed 2 million daughters in 20 years. The figures are shameful and no patriotic person can ignore these figures.

The imbalance is increasing in society and inspite of all the growth which India has seen recently the evil refuses to die. I have written time and again about the evil , some of posts addressing this and one of its causes is as below :

Coming back to satyamev jayate , it is real good attempt and roping in aamir khan would ensure better view ability. There are some criticism toward the show too where people say it is commercial project and aamir khan is doing the show for money .

To be honest aamir khan could have opted for dance show or cooking show or game show or any bollywood based show but he choosed social show. Whats wrong in it?. Even if aamir goes to make 100 crore from the show , whats wrong in it as long as show have impact on psychic of Indian and atleast 2% people get transformed it would be real boast because 2% of 2 million makes 40000 lives saved…Isnt it?

President Of India Poll

President banega kaun? . As media , political parties are gearing up for theoretically all Important post in India , that is president election , rediff.com has asked its viewers to choose who they want to see as president.

The contenders for post of head of republic of India which rediff put are as following

1) Narayan Murthy :

The man who is one of chief faces of Indian soft power , finds himself in the list of rediff and not surprisingly he is second most voted people on rediff.

2) A K Antony :

There is joke going rounds these days. If one wants to make Indian defense system at par with the world , a k antony must be made president of India , such that some one else who can take swift decision can become defense minister!!!!!!!!!. May be rediff thought on same lines and so we have a k antony too in the list.

3) Pranab Mukherjee :

The man most talked about in media is pranab mukherjee. Pranab has already declared that he would like to retire from politics and wont contest next elections which are due on 2014. The sankatmochan of UPA wont be relieved easily by sonia gandhi. He is firefighter of upa and he makes government survive in collation politics.He gets 5% of votes from viewers of rediff.com

4) Soli Sorabjee :

Ex Attorney-General of India soli sorabjee too finds himself in the list. Personally he would be good choice but for me A P J Abdul Kalam is best available option.

5) Hamid Ansari :

Hamid ansari is one of two front runners for the post of president of India. Current vice president had pretty good chance of becoming president since congress cant risk to let pranab da go considering 2014 is approaching and corrupt upa would need experienced pranab da for post poll tie ups which he cant do if he becomes president of India…Sab ganda hai par dhandha hai (politics) and in this game of 2014 , hamid might turn out to be president in 2012!!!!!!!!

6) Jaswant Singh :

Dont know how did rediff decide on letting jaswant singh be in the list. He is most likely to face opposition from some sections of BJP itself. Never the less senior BJP leader too finds him in the list.

7) Somnath Chaterjee :

He too can be very good choice. Veteran communist leader is known to have unbiased , apolitical stand when he holds constitutional post , as he did when he was speaker. But he is unlikely to even figure in discussion considering how much mamata is allergic to LEFT…

Meira Kumar :

The present speaker of Loksabha is dalit . She is woman. Serves perfect symbolism. But would she be candidate?…As of now her name doesnot feature in president banega kaun discussion of media.

9) Sharad Yadav :

NDA convenor as president in upa government?. Well doesnot seem so but in politics you never know. UPA is in worst phase and is going to face elections in 2 years. They would love to woo Nitish Kumar and what better way than to make his party’s strong man Sharad Yadav as president…

10) Prakash Singh Badal :

Again non starter name. Cant expect prakash singh badal’s name wont get consensus.

11) Mulayam Singh Yadav :

Mulayam is having high after winning uttar pradesh election and I dont think he would want to have post which though most important one , would restrict his larger ambition . 2014 is coming and mulayam singh yadav would want to play big big part in national scene .

12) A P J Abdul Kalam :

Here comes my favorite name. In above distinguished list , A P J is most deserving and most trusted name to become president. People’s president in his first term proved he is thinking president and can connect to common people of India , instead of being symbolic . In rediff.com poll too , A P J has got highest vote which shows how much people love him.

Unfortunately president poll is more or less political exercise …

Hamid Ansar-A P J Abdul Kalam-Pranab Mukherjee

President of India, the first citizen of India is constitutional head of India. The elections of all important though symbolic post is on. President is chosen by an electoral college consisting of the elected members of both houses of Parliament, the elected members of the State Legislative Assemblies (Vidhan Sabha) and the elected members of the legislative assemblies of the Union Territories of Delhi and Puducherry.

Present President of India Pratibha Patil’s first term is ending and government is not too keen to give her second term. As per Indian constitution any person can remain president for two terms only . Pratibha Patil’s term has had her share of controversies. Latest in list of controversies having been defense land alloted for her home after retirement and her immense foreign visits.

UPA-2 who is alleged to be most corrupted government in history of Independent India wants to have president which would be of clean image.

Race for president banega kaun is on with all political parties busy with pushing their choices and yet trying to build consensus.

Congress sources reveal three names namely Loksabha speaker meera kumar , vice president of India hamid ansari and finance minister pranab mukherjee.

BJP has decided to oppose any congress candidate. Sushma Swaraj said that she doesnot consider hamid ansari as that of stature to be president.While sushma rejected pranab mukherjee too.. Now this rejection of pranab has triggered joke in internet. Many joked that bjp was helping congress by rejecting pranab mukherjee because pranab mukherjee runs government and is saviour of upa . He is always one who bails congress out of mess in collation politics…

Another name which is doing rounds is APJ Abdul Kalam. The ex president is most respected president of recent times and he is most deserving ones too. It is unfortunate that people of India cannot vote in president elections , if they would have had , A P J surely would have been winner.

No matter how much NDA tries , in end it would be UPA candidate which would become president. UPA has numbers in parliament and would get support from maya , mulayam who wont want to vote along with BJP. For muyalam , mamta , maya its bargaining time and I wont be surprised in Mayawati gets her security back to level it was when she was chief minister of uttar pradesh.

In dirty politics it is unfortunate that thinking person like A P J might not get selected..Sad but thats how  our politics goes…
