Challenge For Congress - Sycophancy

During days when kings , nawabs , sultans used to rule India , they use to have state kavis. Many of so called kavis use to invest their talent in writing poems on their kings , nawabs , sultans. By doing so they use to get inaams .

The trend can be seen all across the globe and chamchagiri or sycophancy seems to be trait which has helped careers of many and it seems to be timeless trait!!!!!!!!!!!

World has changed a lot in last few hundred years. Today governance too has changed. We have democracy in most parts of world. The communist still hold ground in countries like china , north korea . Kinghood still holds ground in muslim countries like saudi arabia. But lately saudi too has seen more people centric governance system. Voices of change , democracy were heard in various parts in 2011. People are getting more aware about their right as human being and in all possibility governance would see more people centric systems where rule of law would have people’s view incorporated in it in future.

In such times one thing seems not to change and it is art of chamchagiri or sycophancy. Indian National Congress is oldest party of India and is chief party which contributed most in India’s struggle of Independence.

The party was unique in a sense. It had people from all walks of life , all caste , all community , all faiths. Be it be parsi or hindu or muslim or sikh , you name it and congress had people from that faith. Congress had people from dalits , people from brahmin , people from south , people from north. In era where woman was considered to be responsible only for household activities , congress had women too in it. Congress truly represented India .

After Independence Nehru began prime minister and unfortunately for Nehru ,Congress and India , most of top most leaders like mahatma , sardar patel , didnt live much and with death of maulana azad , nehru lost close guide,friend .

But most unfortunate thing for India was death of lal bhadur shashtri. The event gave India a very powerful prime minister called Indira gandhi but at same time the event laid foundation to new dynasty of India that is nehru clan.

Insecure Indira had group of selected few whom she did trust . Nick named as kitchen cabinet , they had strong say in governance too.  Indira’s rule saw corruption rise . When we seen today people coming on streets to say corruption down down , many dont know that similar banners made their way to streets during 70s too when Indira ruled.

Congress from being party of all voices soon became party with main trait as being loyal to one person and family. Culture of sycophancy entered the great party called congress and today in 2012 the above ad given by some congress man shows how deep rooted the culture of chamchagiri had become.

Challenge for congress if at all it wants to go back to glorious congress ,then challenge would be how it can bring people on merit who can stand upright and whose survival in party in not based on loyalty to one family but on what he/she brings on board.

Challenge for congress would be how they bring in actual representation of people of India . Rahul Gandhi claims to be working for it with youth congress but as long as top seats are reserved for one family , I am not sure how this would work?.

Anna Hazare

Before I write any thing else first lest us look at brief history of lok pal bill.

The Lokpal bill was first introduced by Shanti Bhushan in 1968 and passed the 4th Lok Sabha in 1969. But before it could be passed by Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha was dissolved and the bill lapsed. The Subsequent versions were re-introduced in 1971, 1977, 1985, 1989, 1996, 1998, 2001, 2005 and in 2008, but none of them passed.

If Lok Pal would have been name of some movie we would have had the name of latest version as Lok Pal -11 or Lok Reloaded or The Grand Saga Of Lok Pal!!!!!!!!…governments and governments kept changing but fate of this bill didnt seem to be changed till ANNA HAZARE entered the scene…

Under pressure from people of India , government finally brought a bill which is called as lok pal bill . Government also got parliament session extended and today , this is 27th december 2011 parliament of India is being debating on the bill.

In principal like every Indian , every parliament across the party lines says that they want strong lok pal bill. Only exception here is Shiv Sena who opposes formation of any such body . All political parties involved in the debate claim that they have been fighting against corruption and are in support of strongest possible lok pal bill.

Now what does it mean to be strong?…Every party has different views on it which is their right like every citizen has right to have his/her view. As I was listening to debate , BJP talked about how this bill is against constitution since it interferes in state’s right , JDU objected on perception of all government employees being corrupt , Left too wants amendment while Congress believes this is best bill possible.

Prime Minister did speak on number of aspects including CBI . He believes that independent CBI is needed but it needs to be accountable and not under lok pal.

Lalu wanted and got Minority reservation in lok pal panel which BJP objected. Mulayam singh yadav too opposed government version .

Listening to the debate it seems that LOK PAL DEBATE has become more of party politics than about the bill. The inherent theme behind lok pal is fighting corruption which seems to be more or less missing. Agreeing on principal is one thing while practically?

From debate of parliament it seems clear that parliamentarians are more interested in scoring political points than bringing lok pal . Experts believe that government would make sure the bill passes any how and Rajya sabha where they dont have majority , the bill will fall. This would make government blame opposition and achieve its goal of ‘LOOKING SERIOUS’ about corruption and bringing strongest lok pal bill.

So what did anna hazare movement achieved so far?. Since march it did make country sit and hope. It did make government atleast show it is serious though symbolic and most importantly it made parliament discuss about corruption at least 3 times in current year!!!!!!!

2011 is getting over in ten days..What a year it was. Year of protest , year where nation stood behind one man. The man known as Anna Hazare. The man who has 40 years of track record of public service and man who took bull by horns.

There are many critics of Anna Hazare . They question his backing, they question his intent , they question his ways . Well one can question many things but one thing which even die hard critic of Anna Hazare must admit is contribution of Anna Hazare is bringing the CORRUPTION issue on center stage and literally forcing the parliament and government to make LOK PAL BILL (weak or strong at least bill pending since 40 yrs might become reality soon).

Year 2011 would go down in history of India as very eventful year. People of India finally said enough is enough and came down to streets. Though UPA claims that anna lacks public support in comparison to MPs , well anna wave saw swayambhu public support and not paid ones as seen in political rallies.

I am not saying that what ever anna team says and believe is perfect but if given a choice if we need to trust , whom do we trust?. There is a man with 40 years of track record of self less service and on other side we have scam after scam being churned out by government…Whom do we trust and back?…

Yes one may disagree with anna but without public pressure lok pal bill would turn out to be like cvc or cag which can make headlines but cant do much.

Yes there are concerns about what if lok pal body itself becomes corrupted?..Fair concern , we can have safe guards for that but if one thing stands between dream of subhash , mahatma, bhagat singh , sardar and thousands of leaders , millions of patriots who sacrificed their lives or career for freedom, that one thing is CORRUPTION.

As we enter 2012 , I invite all nation loving people to have background for 2012 as year of service. It is not about protesting or coming down to streets only , it is taking only one action with context of serving the nation. It may be doing our jobs well or supporting a child in education or any thing.

I hope year 2012 would be year of not just rising India for its rights but also for marching India towards its dream…Jai Hind…

Sonia Gandhi , the chair person of upa and president of congress party yesterday had defense minister of India , Mr antony read out speech in uttrakhand. Sonia was supposed to address a rally but due to her ill health , she could not attend the event but made sure that supporters to get to know her thoughts.

In speech which A K Antony read Sonia said that corruption cannot be fought by speeches. This statement was made headlines by most news media. Now was she talking about l k advani’s yatra or anna is something which only Sonia Gandhi can explain but as per media she was addressing anna hazare and his team in her speech. She also said that her party and prime minister were committed to have strong lok pal bill . She also said that it was They who brought RTI law.
Now UPA can definitely take credit for Right of Information Act but act was never product of any political party. It was product of long led campaign which started as early as 1990 with Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan which began its movement to have transparent village accounts.

First draft came in 1993 which was prepared by Consumer Education and Research Council (AHMEDABAD). MKSS’s advocacy gave rise to the National Campaign on People’s Right to Information (NCPRI), which was formed to advocate for the right to information at the national level. In 1997 the process fastened and A working group under the chairmanship of Mr. H D Shourie (the Shourie Committee) was set up by the Central Government and given the mandate to prepare draft legislation on freedom of information. The Shourie Committee’s Report and draft law were published in 1997. The Shourie Committee draft law passed through two successive governments, but was never introduced in Parliament. In 1999 NDA minister Mr Ram Jethmalani, then Union Minister for Urban Development, issued an administrative order enabling citizens to inspect and receive photocopies of files. Shourie Committee draft law was reworked into the Freedom of Information Bill 2000. It was passed in December 2002 and received Presidential asset on January 2003, as the Freedom of Information Act 2002. Now freedom of Information Act was amended and what became was Right of Information Act….

So it was long long movement began by civil society , ngos before upa made it law , so logically politicians played last role . Obviously aruna roy or arvind kerjiwal cannot pass the law , it has to be passed by parliament and UPA did that for which they deserve credit  but more credit goes to aruna roy and hundreds of people who made took up the cause of transparency in governance..

Coming back to statement of Sonia Gandhi that corruption cannot be removed by speeches. She is absolutely right but anna hazare didn’t simply made speeches . He enrolled nation into it. He pitched for strong lok pal bill and made country express their support for it. He did more than what our politicians could do since jayprakash narayan and that is uniting people for single cause. That is far more than giving speeches.

Also yes speeches don’t fight corruption but neither do cosmetic changes. I am not against congress or pro bjp . I have difference on congress and dislike dynasties at same time I dislike many things in BJP too but I am for strongest possible law against corruption and not cosmetic ones.

As nation is fed up by most corrupted government in recent times , it is obvious that to win next election , congress would come up with something that is called lok pal bill but would it be cosmetic like what happened after 26/11?… After 26/11 seeing immense public outrage , upa-1 made shiv raj patil to resign , deshmukh to resign and r r patil to resign..Deshmukh is cabinet minister right now , r r patil is back to same post while shivraj patil is governor..This is called cosmetic changes.

We need strong lok pal bill which would be one of way of fighting corruption and we should not rest till we achieve that.

Lastly I would like to tell Mrs Sonia Gandhi that we get that speeches alone can’t root out corruption but in same lines , neither cosmetic changes can. I hope we get strongest lok pal bill in winter session…

Anna Hazare

Anna Hazare is no more a name of individual , it has become synonyms of anti corruption. He has become synonyms of stand. Stand against grand loot of India. Stand against culture of corruption. Stand against corrupted system.

In country like India which has huge population of 120 crores , it is natural that there would be highly diversified views on any person. Some would support him , some would oppose him , some would be indifferent , some one would partially support , some would fanatically oppose…

Also in country where system has been corrupted since years , it is also obvious that vested interest wont take things lying down. They would make sure that life of the man who stands against their interest is made hell.

Initially government under estimated anna hazare and his movement. But when it started gaining momentum , they soon formed joint committee.. The joint committee started having differences.

Mean while the politicians which are expert in manipulations tried to make sure the anna wave gets subdued. Leading the charge initially was NCP with one of his leaders trying to attack anna hazare and question his integrity.

But that didnt work. Then came congress spokes person himself who called anna to be sar se paun tak corrupt…Soon he realized that he got wrong name and he was talking about his own party members!!!!!!!…Soon Manish tewari went undergound.

Entered the scene , renuka of congress who was aggressive on day anna hazare was arrested. It was clear the congress wanted to show who is the boss but people for change showed that they are the boss while political parties are mere respresentatives.

Soon congress was seen on back foot and started prasing Anna . Prince of congress too had nice words for anna hazare and pm himself wrote letter. Finally entire parliament debated and with few exceptions link chara lalu prasad most projected themselves to be with anna hazare. Anna finally broke his fast and it was symbolic victory of people (the original masters) over parliament(the place where people’s representative sit).

Manish tewari soon re emerged said sorry to anna and gave written apology . So far so good but congress and upa was not taking things lying down. It was just buying time.

They used tools which they were taught to be used by congress of 70s. Soon Government department asked arvind kejriwal to pay his dues which was due to breaking of his bonds. Prashant Bhushan caused self goal while congress unleashed its weapon against Anna.

The name of weapon was and still is Digvijay Singh who seems to be hit by disease which causes him to comment on daily basis and he seems to be obsessed by Anna Hazare. Diggi as he is known in internet circles never forgets to take dig at anna’s team. Understanding that anna hazare has become Icon , he makes sure that he praises anna for being who he is and attacks anna’s team.

Diggi’s favorite word is RSS , that is after osamaji!!!!!!!!. Diggi uses this word at least ten times in month. No it is not that his astrologer has asked him to repeat RSS mantra but it is his communal politics which makes him use RSS’s name which would inherently divide people according to diggi’s political brain.

According to Diggi , Anna is RSS agent. Now diggi’s logic is that since NIA has unearthed various terror strikes in India and hindu outfit’s role in it , RSS has launched campaigns to distract people from it!!!!!!!!.

Interestingly diggi’s claim doesnot hold much of water because A RAJA , KALMADI, KANIMOZHI belong to UPA Camp and as far as abhinav bharat terror role is concerned the case in moving in right direction . Court dont need public’s approval to reach verdict to point of distraction doesnot apply here. Yes but political parties too need public voting and so why diggi is trying to claim that Anna Hazare is RSS agent can be understood…

Latest diggi had said is that Anna hazare is with mayawati!!!!!!!!…Now Being RSS Agent as well as being with mayawati at same time defies all logic but diggi never promised to give logic , he simply wants to get minority out of movement and secure vote for congress…

Another Ironical is allegations from BJP supporters on internet. They allege that Anna hazare is congress agent!!!!!!!!. Yes you read it right , there is never influx of posts on internet which claim that anna hazare is congress agent. Logic they give is that anna didnt aske sheila dixit to resign while critized modi. Anna led his first successful movement against shiv sena- bjp’s government in maharashtra…

Now what was anna supposed to do , support corrupted people in shiv sen-bjp govt of those days , just because bjp ruled it?????????…

In latest shiv sena’s bal thackeray has slammed anna hazare , questioning his right to question politicians integrity. It is interesting to see how for some right wing parties , anna is congress agent , for congress’s general secretary anna is RSS agent , for bhukari anti corruption movement is not for muslims (In Islam money without sweat is haram) and how for behn mayawati , dalits have nothing to do with anti corruption movement!!!!!!!!!!!!

When a movement for cleaning system begins , resistance is obvious and when parties with different ideology resists system alterations collectively , that movement can be said to be towards right direction in most cases.

It is ironical that a 74 year old man with track record of 40 years of social service is being termed as various agents just because his movement managed to capture imagination of the people. Ironical , isn’t it?

Sardar Patel and the Maharaja of Patiala

When India got independent from Britishers , what Britishers left behind was India which had 500 kingdoms in it . This is minus pakistan. It took lot of efforts by sardar patel to make that 500 kingdoms into one nation!!!!!!

What was purpose of that?. Purpose was having one country with democracy . Democracy where common people would elect their own representatives. Representatives mean the people who represent . The people who have been elected by common larger lot of people.

Idea of democracy was to have people’s rule and not dictator rule or rule by kings or queens. If we wanted that then what was use of freedom?

Our Founding fathers made best constitution possible. The constitution which was meant to strengthen democracy and was made keep in view with diversity of India and plural ethos of India.

India is plural and extremely diverse society. It is region where hinduism , buddhism , jainism , sikhism originated. It is country where jews,parsis,Islam, Christianity came in and became part of India.

It is country with strong regional legacy. It is country with strong linguistic legacy and it is also country where we have so many sub cultures.

In such a country which such huge population, inclusiveness is only way it can move forward and grow. Secularism is only option which India can have to continue with its destination of becoming economically thriving country which is home to everyone who is Indian.

As Independent India started its journey, it was represented by political party in parliament which had people from every walk of life , every part of country , every faith. It was party which truly represented India.

But as we entered mid sixties , the ruling party soon started becoming owned by few individuals. As Indira gandhi started growing stronger , she started sidelining powerful people in the party who could have posed threat to her in quest of power.

Indira started weakening congress itself  by destroying system formed by mahatmas, maulana, sardar and likes of them. She became sarve sarva of congress and loyalty to nehru family became the chief criteria to be in kitchen cabinet and have political ambition.

Sudden death of Indira Gandhi did put Rajiv Gandhi on the hot seat.After death of rajiv , gandhi family went on political syanyas but damaj done by Indira was too hard to recover for congress. It too went down in popularity which made sonia gandhi enter politics again. She managed to win back to back elections for congress bringing them to power.

Today we have Rahul gandhi projected as future prime minister of India. We have young leader of congress who inherited politics.

In Dr Ram Guha’s lecture on ‘why India wont be super power and why India should not be super power’ , one of points he rightly made was dynasty politics which was started by congress and duplicated by parties like dmk, shiv sena, akali dal , biju janta dal , to name few.

If way things I going and I dont want to sound as alarmist but we are moving back to situation of 1947 where we had 500 families who were so called kings …This is not right path for vibrant democracy . In democracy politics is one of careers which should be open for every Indian . Every Indian must have right to enter politics and work his way up the ladder.

But if we look at current system of various party , one can climb the ladder only to certain level. Top most is reserved for family. One can have right thought , right ideas , right passion to serve the country but that doesnot matter if one is not loyal to particular family!!!!!!!!!

Recently I viewed ‘Bharat Ek Khoj’ on youtube. In episode of chanakya there is a scene where senapati of dhanand’s regime meets chanakya…Dhanand had died by that time and this sena pati had vowed to take revenge. Chankaya invited him to join chandragupt’s regime instead. Sena Pati said he is loyal to dhanand . To this chankaya said one must be loyal to country and not king. Country is more important than any individual.

Now how does above scene from event which occurred thousands of years ago is relevant today?. Today we have system where first loyalty is demanded towards party leader. Now it is important for discipline of party but loyalty to larger issues makes one more vocal and more expressive rather than taking everything which comes from leader in name of loyalty.

If we wanted some 500 families to rule on us , what was use of freedom then?. Congress projects itself as guardian of secularism but in name of secularism , can we have dynasty rule?.

Unfortunately there are not many who oppose dynasty rule in way they should. We don’t have any rule or criteria which can bar people from becoming party chiefs for third term ,nor we have any term limit for prime minister post.

Dynasty politics is curse for India and unless we realize it , it would stay. I hope we do realize it before it is too late.

Lata Mangeshkar

Lata Mangeshkar turned 82 today. What can I say about her?. Lots and lots have already been written about lalaji and I dont think it is possible to write anything more about it.

I can only state what her songs have meant for me. I can just convey my emotions , my experience , my relation with her songs and I am thinking of narrating that in this post.

I dont remember which was first song of Lata Mangeshkar but I remember prayer ‘ae malik tere bande hum , aise ho humhaare kadam’. This was prayer we had in our schools.

I also remember one of most embarrassing moment of my life.I was in seventh standard. We were 5 students who were to sing , one of best songs of lalaji. ‘Ae mere vatan ke logo’ and the way we sung that , I wonder if lataji would have heard us , she would have killed us!!!!!!!

As I starting growing up , lata’s song became part and parcel of my life. The song I liked where mostly sung by her. One of my favorite songs when I was in 9th standard when I fell in love for first time and was dumped was ‘Rangeela Re , Tere Rang Mein , houn Ranga hai , tera rang’. Dont know how many times I might have sung this song.

My another favorite song was ‘pyaar kiya to darna to darna kya, pyaar kiya koi chori nahi ki’. It was my favorite song when I did fell in love and my girl friend was worried about our affair going public ,it is different story that when it went public , I got worried!!!!!

One of my favorite songs is also ‘ae mere sanam, ae mere sanam , do jism magar ek jaan hai hum’. I still love the song . It was from sangam movie of raj kapoor.

In recent songs sung by lataji , my favorite song is ‘Lukka chuppi bahout hui , saamne aajana’ . The song is from Rang De Basanti .Wonderful song.

I have personally never seen lataji. I have seen her on television but when ever I think about Lataji , I feel as if I know her since years. She has been part of my life through her songs. Whenever I have been excited or sad, happy or depressed , in love or dumped by love , her songs have been my companion.

I wonder how would life have been without lataji?. I believe it would have been bit of incomplete. As she turns 82 , I would wish her on her birthday. It is honor to be born in times where legend lives. She has been part of lives of Indians since 1940s.. Her songs have made people enjoy every emotion and keep going. She is truly BHARAT RATNA. My best wishes to her.

Narendra Damodhar Modi , chief minister of gujarat and arguably most controversial politician of recent times has started three day fast which he has termed as sadbhavna fast.

The marketing guru narendra modi has done enough ground work for the fast. Taking leaf from anna’s book , he has a toll free number where on can give miss call and number is 02261550770. His facebook post has generated 5000 likes uptill now and his sadbhavna fast venue has religious heads from all religions and all faiths assembled at the venue.

He chose to speak in Hindi rather than gujarati which is rare for narendra modi in gujarat. He is fluent in hindi but he uses hindi only when he is speaking out of gujarat but he chose to speak in hindi , knowing very well that his sadbhavna fast would be covered by national media .

What he spoke in his speech was correct in its own right. Gujarat has progressed under his regime and there are various factual reports on that. Right from Rajiv Gandhi Foundation to India today poll to corporate biggies like ambanis , tatas , to recent usa congressional report , Narendra Modi’s development work has been hailed by various sources .

Initially congress used to deny it but now they accept his development works but questions his secular credentials. They have gujarat riots 2002 as prove of that and they accuse Narendra Modi’s inaction for what happened in riots.

They do have point in that but since matter is in court , court needs to decide on role of government and Narendra Modi in gujarat riots 2002 . As per Media trial and as per congress’s trial and as per general perception of majority of people, Narendra Modi is guilty of being ‘nero’ at times of riots.

Now as today narendra modi begins his 72 hours fast and starts his sambhavna mission , question is would it make difference in Indian Politics?.

Today his words were chosen very intelligently. He spoke of growth for which he is as well known as Godhra Riots. He also spoke about secularism being used as vote bank politics. He also spoke of lack of communal riots in gujarat since 2002 and how peace has contributed to growth.

If we look at what he said , we can face the truth as far as secularism being used as vote bank politics. Yes time and again parties which call itself as secular has used modus of scaring minorities to get vote. Making devil out of right wing they indirectly force minorities to vote for them and then leave them alone . Minorities have not grown to level that they deserve and for their own security and perceived threat of right wing , they are left with little options with them.

Coming to peace in gujarat , well that too has been a fact. After 2002 , narendra modi has not allowed right wingers (especially hardliners) to take advantage of akshardham attack to fuel communal riots. He has not allowed communal forces of both sides to have free run . He has not shied away from tough actions like moving temples for expanding of roads.

Gujarat is growing at rate of 11% since last so many years and Narendra Modi has tried to re invent himself as it can be seen in last nagar palika elections where he gave ticket to 100 muslims!!!!!.

But does it make much of difference?. Would 2002 gujarat riots ghost would ever leave narendra modi alone?. Can this sadbhavna mission , as he states take him from gandhinagar to delhi?. Would minorities , specially Muslims be able to ever trust him?

Answers to this question are with time and only time can tell. What Narendra Modi’s sadbhavna fast has done is bring him to national stage as far as discussion is concerned and as one Gujarati Muslim put it today on cnn-ibn , words used in modi’s speech are unprecedented and gujarat muslims must take cue from it and engage with modi and see whether they are mere cosmetic words or means something in real sense.

History is always difficult to be judged. Impacts of events can be debated but what about events which could not occur because of deaths of key players?. For e.g. aurangzeb is infamous of his extreme religion ideology which is said to be one of key era in Indian history. Dara who was more secular was chosen to be king but aurangzeb made sure that he became the king and rest as they say is history. What if dara would have succeeded in becoming the king?. How would things be then?. It is If and but question…

Yesterday I was reading outlook magazine which had article of congress attempt to write history of Indira gandhi era. Party which has living gods in form of gandhi parivar , can’t be expected to critize or even highlight flaws in member of gandhi parivar , especially Icon like Indira gandhi. Congress  for a change seems to have done that by looking into Indira Gandhi , her insecurities and her impact of making congress weak in states , especially uttar pradesh.

Congress still manages to win elections but is not as powerful as it used to be in many states , especially northern states like up, bihar. Indira gandhi is considered to be most powerful prime minister by majority of Indians but system of corruption , system of dynasty and loyality to gandhi parivar got established as virtue during her era only!!!!!!!!!.

According to leading historian , Mr Ram guha , Indira gandhi was planning to settle down in london but unfortunate death of Lal bahdur shashtri made her stay back. What if shashtriji would have survived?

Coming to her dad , what is subhash chandra bose would have survived air crash and come back to India. He was highly popular , selfless and great leader. Would nehru have had still managed to hold his ground?. It is again matter of If and but. Similarly what if bhagat singh wont have become martyr so early in his life?.

Another If and but is death of sanjay gandhi. Rajiv never planned to be in politics. What if sanjay wont have died in ill fate crash?. Again what if , rajiv gandhi would have survived and living today?.

India has had a long history and there are many such if and buts which has had its impact of its citizen. Decision of few has had huge impact of billion plus population and unfortunate death of few has resulted in India taking path which might not have been the case if particular deaths wont have occured. Isn’t it?

Baba Ramdev is all over the places in news domain. Be it be television , be it be internet or be it be newspaper. The baba who claims to have 1crore followers from all walks of life , caste ,creed and religion , is set to go on fast from tomorrow with agenda of getting black money back alongwith other 9 points which he has raised.

UPA Part -2 which was caught sleeping during anna hazare’s fast seems to be not taking chances this time with their reach out to baba ramdev.

While pranab , kapil had met baba earlier today it was kapil minus pranab to held talks with Baba Ramdev.

Understanding undercurrent of people and frustration which we all have due to Rajas ,Alis,Kalmadis,Radias and above all ‘Mein kya karun’ singh,all political parties are trying to make most of opportunity of baba fast theme. While BJP’s god fathers RSS had declared support for Baba

Ramdev’s movement , BJP too seems to jump into the scene and how can BSP remain behind , they too declared support for BABA.Considering thy name is Baba Ramdev, SP seems to be reluctant to take a stand.

English media too seems confused and seems doubting intentions of Baba Movement. Unfortunately in our country , anything which is saffronseems to be allergetic for liberals!!!!!!!!!!!!. Liberals are not that liberals in their acceptance for saffron school of thought as one view point!!!!!!!!.

Questions like is this RSS sponsered movement with Baba Ramdev being face of movement?. Is this movement aimed only at riding on popularpeople sentiment and trying to achieve political goals?. Is this hindutva based movement?. Is this using anna hazare’s modus of operation tohumiliate ruling UPA-2?.

Let us try to take one by one the above questions.

Well weren’t Rajas , Kalmadis, Radias enough for upa-2 humilation?. Do we need BJP or BSP or RSS or Left or Baba Ramdev for that?. UPA-2ministers are far more capable in humiliating UPA-2 and they need to external support to do so.

Is this hindutva based movement?

Is Baba Ramdev asking to make Hinduism as official religion?. Is Baba Ramdev asking for banning other religion?. Baba has asked help and support from all communities and religions. I did read his 10 point agenda ,barring his Hindi language thing , I agree with most of his points. I dobelieve there should be direct election of prime minister. I too want black money to be back. I too want symmetrical minimum wage for workers allover India . I support his point of raising minimum purchase price for farmers. Now if black money comes back , it would benefit Hindu , muslim and other faith people too. If minimum wage in uniform and respectable , Muslim workers , christian workers would get benefitted as much as hindu workers.

Is this movement aimed only at riding on popular people sentiment and trying to achieve political goals?.

This allegations would remain if Baba Ramdev goes to top of himalaya and declares that it is not his purpose. Baba Ramdev had declared inpast his intention of launching a new political party and this might be his way of testing the water.

Is this RSS sponsered movement with Baba Ramdev being face of movement?

RSS has already declared full support to Baba Ramdev. BJP tried to get public support for nailing highly corrupted UPA-2 but BJP seems to  have less credibility than even congress . No matter what BJP says I think if elections are held today , congress would again win the election.

India has changed and changed India is not interested in hindutva and is more interested in career growth .

Lately BJP is more focused on development policies but still it is seen with skeptic eyes by liberals , secular people and minorities. RSS does need a face and Baba Ram dev can be one of them.

But even if this is RSS sponsored , what is wrong in it as long as movement is based on issue of black money. It is like I wont support good because I worry that some thing wrong would happen!!!!!!!!!!

I personally am not supporter for RSS ideology and its views on minority but nothing can take away RSS’s work during natural disasters and its support work during nation’s wars.

Coming back to BABA Ramdev , I support his black money point but I am not supporter of Hindi language theme , nor am I supporter of banning Genetic Modified Items. Yes I want them to be safe and banned till government is sure about safety but I believe research must go on in that area.

I also support direct election of prime minister with should be done along with elections of MPs. We dont need blessings of RSS or High Command’s decision to know who would be our prime minister!!!!!!!!!!, We should have direct right to choose that.

I partially support death sentence for corrupted one. In India we dont sentence on basis of consequence. Suppose a builder bribes government personnel to get low quality or high risk building passed and people die because of that. Isn’t it felicitation for murder?. There should be death penalty or life sentence in such cases.

Lastly Is Baba Ramdev Himself Clean?. Well I have no means to know about that and if he is not clean well let there be inquiry on him but let us deal issue by issue . Let us make it clear for all including ‘I dont know singh’ , Mrs Sonia gandhi , Mr sharad pawar , Mr advani , Ms Mayawati , Mr Karunanidhi , Ms Jayalalitha , Baba Ramdev and all , that we wont tolerate any more corruption and Janta ki adalat is much bigger and people are now desperate to see clean governance.
