Bhagat Singh Wasted His Life

One of my friend is 25 year old young man. Like many of young people of India. He is confident , he is dynamic and he is moving fastly towards his career goals.
Recently I had a discussion with him regarding India , India’s Freedom. While discussing we
came to Bhagat Singh.
I was shocked to hear his words. He said -’bhagat singh wasted his life’.
I said what?.How can you say such things for such a great man. I strongly rejected and opposed his views.
He came up with why he thought bhagat singh wasted his life.
A 23 year old man with pure intentions gave up his life and what did he get in return?. He believed in revolution , he worked for communal harmony , he believed in socialism.
But instead of giving his life if he would have survived , it would have been much much better for the nation. He died in 1930 , so he would have been around 40 years of age in 1947 , when India got independent. Considering his influence on India’s people he would have been in major position to do good for nation.
We needed him more after independence then in 1930…
When we got independence all major contributor of independence had either died or were on verge of death.
Mahatama gandhi died in 1948 , sardar in 1950 , subhash in 1945 and bhagat singh was long dead.
Nehru became whole and sole ,though he did lot for country but it was unchallenged one man show.
First corruption case was done by nehru’s pet , Krishna menon ,who played dubious role
in 1962 war too.
Today we have nehru dynasty. Why?
Who remembers bhagat singh except bollywood. We common man do consider him great because he gave his life , he never married and was 200% committed to freedom . Yes he used means which many wont agree to but he did what not many 23 year old would have thought of.
But where is he , his belief system in current political scenario?..Who cares for him?
This did made me think . Bhagat Singh , our hero , our martyr..But i was glad to see that this young man helds opinion and deep within he too is concerned for the nation.
Yes things at times look hopeless in our dear country , specially seeing the kind of politics being played in this election. But I believe its manthan , in another decade things would change for better. I believe.
