Some news are shocking, some are depressing , some are the ones which left us empty , while some are ones which we would never like to hear. What happens when you can combination of above feelings from single news?
Adarsh Society of mumbai made news with IBN-7 ,sister concern of cnn-ibn broke the news. The news which can put entire nation barring politicians at shame. The news which reported that an 27 storey high rise building in posh locality of south mumbai has all whose’s who from world of politics , administrative services , police forces and worst of all from armed forces(retired) in it.
Now politicians , police officers , ex armed personnels and IAS purchasing flats in single society is obviously not a scam.
As citizen of India , they have right to buy any property , anywhere except kashmir . Only condition is that the purchase must be done through legal money. What makes this society controversial are following questions
a) To whom the society belongs to?
b) Was land reserved for kargil martyrs?
c) If no then why promoters of society projects in that manner?.
d) How could a building with permission of 6 storey went on to become 27 storeys?
e) Why a building adjoining army cantonment was given permission to go to such elevation?
f) Why navy’s objection was not implemented?
g) Why enivornmental minitry concerns were not taken seriously?
CNN-IBN yesterday had invited ,society’s promoter and congress member Mr Kanaiyalal who denied that land was reserved for kargil martyrs. He also denied that land was that of army. According to him the land belonged to state government and all necessary permission were taken before construction.
Let us presume that promoter is stating the truth. Let us assume that land belonged to state government. Then what about point c and point d?. There are series of correspondence acquired by RTI activist which shows repetative mention of words like nobel cause , taking care of martyrs and ex army man. Was kargil used as emotional tag to get needed permision?
Coming to accupants , the most shocking names have been two ex army chief and ex naval chief. All three have denied any knowledge that society had anything to do with kargil and have offered to give flats back.
The man in lines of fire ashok chavan has said on records that his relatives have given up the ownership. His mother in law , sister in law and brother in law had flats in it. The society also has had ncp leaders , mumbai collector to name few.
The adarsh society scam as cnn-ibn puts it is also reflection of how our system seems to operate. Using name of martyrs is shameful act . An act where words fall short to condemn, an act which is demoralizing.
It reminds me of coffin scam , bofors scam . It those were shocking , this is worst .Using name of immortal soldiers who gave their life for India , Indian pride,Indian freedom , India hope and Indian aspirations. If adarsh society can’t give them flat , that is fine . Martyr’s family dont need them but marty’s family dont need their kins name being used for getting brother in law of cm in the flat. This is disguisting…

Critics may say India was always land of scams , it is just that media is hyper active these days and so we come to know about it. 2G scam has made supreme court slam CBI , bihari congress leader is caught with 6 lakh RS. Few days back we had chandra babu naidu’s name linked with cash stuffed car. We saw karnataka ka natak for around a month , We saw bjp MPs flaunting cash in parliament , we saw sting operations showing MLAs on sale for rajya sabha seat, We still wonder who left bhopal gas tragedy’s prime accused out of the country , we saw gujarat home minister behind the bars ,accused for taking bribe from powerful marble lobby of rajasthan and getting soharbuddin eliminated. The list is endless…
As Mr ashok chavan meets sonia gandhi and follows the routine of offering resignation , I wonder whether corruption has become so deep rooted and taken over our souls that nothing else matters to us?. Have we become so immune that morality seems impractical?. Well being optimistic by nature , I believe this is such a phase. I believe that with time we would be able to successfully deal with it. In end we love our country but are bugged up with our lives. The day our love surpasses other priorities , there would be revolution of its kind. I believe.

Every illegal ones on this plot must be Court Martial. More shocking was to see some Shameless Congress Politicians on TV, justifying the loot from Kargil Shaheed Widows that Homeless Politicians and Officials has birth right to get the plot. CM Ashok Chavan’s lame argument about land as an Govt Propriety does not give right to Politicians and Officials to loot Govt or Public resources by paying fraction of price. Some of them by giving excuse about the unawareness of ownership of land and paying fraction of price, can’t they imagine that they are shopping at Grey Market. CBI inquiry is welcomed as Restaurant Menu. Disease of Corruption has spread from Congress to Army and other Officials. In past we use to see Politicians relationship with Land Mafia, today we see Politicians, Army Officials, Govt Officials becomes LAND MAFIAS, Today, India has became the DEN of Corrupted Politicians, Officials and Citizens with Dead Soul. Rahul, Sonia, PM should ask their own CM and Politicians about any progress besides LOOTING India, rather than asking Nitish in Bihar. Surprisingly, we don’t find AICC spoke person Manish Tiwari to give his Sugar Coated Lies on Media. GOD BLESS INDIA.
