Shahrukh Khan : Badshah Of Controversies?

‘Don ke dushman ki ek hi galti hai ke woh don ka dushman hai’. The dialogue is from srk’s movie don but it seems don ke dushmano ki list badti ja raahi hai. Shahrukh khan is always in lime light. Be it for his movie or through his ads which are on air 365 days in an year. Be it be for some award function hosting or winning some award . But he at times makes news for many other reasons too and this time he is back in news for ‘Slapping Farah Khan’s husband, shirish Kunder’.

Why srk slapped shirish has many different versions. Farah Khan camp maintains that srk slapped shishir unprovoked. While another version says that srk was stalked by shirish since shahrukh entered party and finally frustrated shahrukh couldnot control his anger which got manifested in form of slapping shirish kunder.

This is though not first time that shahrukh khan has landed himself in controversy. He made headlines when he made statement about allowing pakistani players for IPL. Shivsena took on srk and srk did win that bout .

Shahrukh khan had made similar headlines when he got involved with ugly spat with salman khan in party thrown by salman for celebrating katrina’s birthday. Both salman khan and shahrukh khan have made good statements about each other since then but they are not in talking terms.

Shahrukh Khan-Aamir Khan saga went on to become news maker for quiet a long time . Though aamir and shahrukh both maintain that they are friends but it seems both love to take dig on each other.

One man whom shahrukh rubbed on wrong end unprovoked is amar singh. While anchoring an award function shahrukh made comments on amar singh and amar singh let his party workers loose on srk.

When you are public figure , highly successful , it is always likely that some or other controversy would always have chances to get erupted but in last five years shahrukh khan seems to have entered one after the other and interestingly in last five years aamir khan has went on to become biggest star while salman brand is roaring top position and big b is going still strong while young guns like ranbir are ready to compete with khans and kumars . Is srk loosing his cool due to work pressure or desire to remain number uno and finding it tough to recreate himself?

Only shahrukh can answer this question but as of now shirish too became famous by entering in duel with shahrukh khan!!!!!!!!!

Republic Day : Do We Acknowledge Its Importance To Level It Deserves?

India became independent from Britishers in 1947. So what did brits leave behind?. They left behind Pakistan and 500 plus kingdoms which sardar patel united into country which we know India today. Before Britishers took over India , current India as country existed during mughal regime and during Chandragupta regime. So we had India thrice in history and for most parts of history India was divided into many small kingdoms.

Even during mahabharata times , we had many kings and kingdoms in country which was then called Bharat . So when India got independent from Britishers , it took some one like sardar patel to unite India and vision of panel headed by baba saheb ambedkar to make our consitution which defines what India today is.

Consitution is not piece of paper or exist for sake of it . It is vision of our founding fathers about what kind of country they dreamt of . Hugely diversed country like India needed constitution to have any chance of becoming what it has become.

I have found many opinions of constitution , while some are sensible , some are bizzare. Many are angry and slam consitution for special status given to jammu and kashmir . Many protest on inclusion of word secular by Indira in constitution of India .

When nation as diversed as India becomes free from foreign rule , we need a strong constitution which guarantees co existence of all and right to life of dignity. According to me consitution of India is one of best creation of human mind ever. I salute the panel which came up with constitution. India is not just a land ,it is one of most complex country in the world. The home to all beliefs , India has many caste , different languages , different ethnic identity.

It is duty of any nation to make sure that all of its citizen’s right are protected and constitution safe guards that right. Starting from freedom of speech to live life of dignity constitution provides all those rights.

As we celebrate 26/1 , let us salute the makers of constitution because of which India is what it is .

Scams In India

When Anna Hazare movement got cold response in mumbai in December , many people including sections of media seemed happy. Many disagreed with Anna movement since its inception , while many disagreed with Anna team’s decision to campaign against congress. Many considered anna as fascist and his comments on canning people who refuse to leave alcohol didnt go well for many across board. Many also considered anna hazare as threat to democracy.

Personally I dont believe in canning those who consume alcohol. I do believe in parliament democracy and want parliament to get strengthened instead of weaken but on anna’s fight against corruption , I am with him . Why?

Well our great political system has given the following since 1947 :

Now above are just few in the list. Needless to say most of scams happened in congress led government while BJP too has its share of scams.

Now looking at above list tall claims by Rahul Gandhi falls flat because no matter how much Rahul claims about putting ministers in jail , above is what we have got in long rule of congress in last 64 years.

Does that make BJP holy cow?. Well far from that. Only difference both party seems to have is opportunity. Since congress got most opportunity to rule , they have most number of scams during their regime!!!!!!!!!

So what we have and does change of government make difference?. Answer is unfortunately no because what we have is culture of corruption.

Do we need strong lok pal bill?. Obviously yes but at same time we need holistic approach where we ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY AGAINST CORRUPTION.

Along with lok pal bill we need electoral reform . When we have corrupted people entering parliament and assemblies accepting administrative system working honestly is like expecting Rakhi sawant go without controversy for rest of her life.

We need right to reject . I understand it would be practically difficult task to accomplish but we need review system for MPs and MLAs under which we can review performance of our politicians.

Citizen charter is must and it would really do wonders for curbing corruption.

But along with above things we need to have culture of no corruption and onus lies on aam aadmis as well as on government. For every bribe taker , there is bribe giver. So onus lies on us too.

CORRUPTION Is cancer and unless it is eradicated we cant have strong nation . Scams in India must become history , if we want our country to realize its true potential.

UP Elections : Rahul Gandhi vs Akhilesh Yadav vs Mayawati : Two Yuvrajs V/s Dalit Ki Beti!!!!!!!

UP has population of 20 crores!!!!!!!!. If it had been country it would have been fifth largest populated country after china , India, USA, Indonesia!!!!!!!

Upcoming uttar pradesh election is extremely important elections not just for uttarpradesh which is largest populated state in India but also for three leaders and their future.

These three leaders are RAHUL GANDHI , AKHILESH YADAV AND BEHN MAYAWATI.

1) Rahul Gandhi :

His only credentials in politics till date has been that his surname is GANDHI. The surname which was hijacked by nehru family are now first family of Indian Politics. But Nehru clan didnt just hijack surname , they hijacked Congress too. The party which was ones party of every one is not reduced to be party of first family.

To be fair to nehru clan , they have had their share in making of what India is today. Be it be nehru or Indira or Rajiv, they did do lot for the country but at same time they reduced great party into ‘yes madam/sir’ party where top most post is reserved for either nehru clan or chosen one by nehru clan!!!!!!!

The yuvraj of congress Rahul Gandhi has been honest to people and himself. He knows that it is because of his surname and other surnames like schindiyas or pilots or pawars or latest tandon or singh is credential to enter politics!!!!!!!!

Rahul has been working to get actual aam aadmis in the party but his true test would come in uttar pradesh. Many believe Rahul Baba would be elevated to prime ministership in 2014 , if upa wins election.

The passport to prime ministership would come from uttar pradesh. Congress is already at rock bottom in up and even if congress does reasonably better than last election , congress would be quick to hail rahul gandhi.

But if congress looses elections miserably then congress would call it collective responsibility and still manage to promote Rahul Gandhi.

Then why is this election important for Rahul?. He got to prove himself to himself and also to people of thinking India and his credentials other than merely being born in privilege family would come from Uttar Pradesh.

2) Akhilesh Yadav :

Why should congress have all the fun?. Most political parties including BJP of up are getting their sons/daughters into politics . They have example of congress which has been hugely successful in that.

If Congress project Rahul as yuvraj of India , SP is projecting akhilesh as yuvraj of up. Akhilesh is main campaigner of Samajwadi party. Though Akhilesh maintains that his father would be chief minister , the baton of leadership would pass on to akhilesh in coming year and performance of sp in up is important for akhilesh to cement his position and emerge as generation next leader of sp.

3) Mayawati :

So what is she is crorepati?. So what that there are cases against her?. So what that no one does question her asset of 89 crore officialy while she has been full time politician since 20 plus years, mayawati remains popular leader of up.

She would be fighting against tide and if she wins this election , her next step would be 2014 general election where she would like to play important role. Her google ad campaign in 2009 elections showed her ambition of becoming prime minister.

But if she loose elections , her path ahead seems rocky.

For BJP it seems fight of two yuvraj and dalit ki beti would create situation of their advantage. So let see how up elections unfold…

Pappu Can’t Bat Saala??

Tata ki ghadi hato mein , Perfume paris wala, but pappu cant bat saala….

IPL aaya to kismaate chamki , aur pappu ke muh mein thi chandi ki chamchi,

hey hey he , pappu ke paas hai paisa, hey hey he haatho ke mel ke jaisa,

pappu staro ka star hai, but pappu cant bat saala…

shrikant kaaheta tha bada naam karega , mera pappu to aisa kaam karega,

hey hey hey pappu ke paas hai ad any day,

hey hey hey karta hai australia mein holiday,

pappu race bike chalata hai ,jahan jaata hai cha jata hai..

but pappu cant bat saala…

Imagine you earning 10 crore per annum , have no accountability of outcome of your efforts and targets and in spite of that being continued to be paid in crores!!!!!!!

There are only two careers where this can happen , one is politics in which in spite of corruption same old faces keep coming back and another is cricket in which in spite of loosing 7 straight overseas matches , hype of cricketers continues.

Disaster is perhaps lesser word to describe India’s performance in england tour and current Australian tour. Aussies which had tough time against new zealand found Indian team too easy to beat. When team has likes of shewag , gambhir , laxman, dravid , dhoni and sachin tendulkar in its line up , that team seems too powerful to beat atleast on papers. But reputation counted little when India went to tour aussies. Instead of aussies fighting hard , it seems like cake walk for them.

Indian team played like college team not even club team . Getting fold in 2 days , 1 and quarter session in test match is something which even bangladesh wont be expected to do.

Spineless batting by batting greats that too for 7 straight matches is something which cannot be excused off. As India plays last test in australia , I as cricket fan hope , India survives five days . Shameful might be right word to be used for current level of performance of Indian cricket team…
